The Audio-Lingual Method(Asking Direction)

(1)From the third to forth grade English class, this is designed to let the students speak the dialog fluency. Each student will remember the content of dialog, present the dialog and use the dialog in the daily life.

(2)Outcomes

Using a chain drill gives students an opportunity to say the lines individually. The students will be led to figure out the rules from their works with the examples the teacher provides.

(3)Media/Materials

The students will use a drill and present to keep the dialog, vocabularies, and sentences in mind.

(4)Guidance(teacher needs to do)

*Provide students a dialog with presentation.

*The students should speak each sentence after the teacher presents the dialog again and again.

*The teacher would add the new vocabularies, sentences to the game.

*Give students chance to repeat the dialog again and again. After students remembered the content, they could show to everyone. If students forgot the sentence, the teacher would give them some hints.

*The students would repeat the vocabularies, sentences, and dialog again and again. The teacher would give students some practices and games to let them understand the words and keep in mind. The practices will help the students to speak the target language smoothly.

(5)Product(students should do)

*The students will be required to speak the dialog smoothly.

*Students should review the dialog after the teacher presents the lay.

*The students could recite lines from the dialog.

*The students could use the dialog into playing a role.

*The students will keep in mind the dialog in class.

*With the drill, the students must recognize what part of speech the cue word is and where it fits into the sentence.

*After teacher did some action and examples, the students have learned that they are to answer the questions following the pattern the teacher has modeled.

*The students would remember the new vocabularies and phrases.

*The students would understand how to use the vocabularies and phrases into a whole sentence.

(6)Criterion for Evaluation

*The students of role-play in class will make good use of 80﹪of the grade and worth.

*The students will keep the vocabularies and phrases in their mind about 100﹪of the grade.

*The student of the rich game will answer the question correctly about 80﹪of the grade.

*The students will realize the meaning of vocabularies, phrases, and sentence and understand how to use them in the daily life.
