George Zimmerman, left, leaving Seminole County Correctional Facility in Florida on bail in April.

George Zimmerman, accused of murdering unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, suffered a number of injuries to his head and face when they scuffled, according to a medical report from the gunman’s family doctor.

His family physician said Zimmerman had a pair of lacerations to the back of his head, two black eyes, a minor back injury and a “closed fracture” of his nose, according to the report obtained by ABC News and previewed Tuesday.

ABC News obtained images of George Zimmerman's bloodied head, allegedly caused during a fight with Trayvon Martin.

The injuries, documented a day after Zimmerman shot Martin on Feb. 26, could support his claims of self-defense.

Zimmerman, 28, told police that he only shot 17-year-old Martin after the teen attacked him. Martin had been walking through the Sanford, Fla., condo complex after stopping at a nearby convenience store, police said.

The medical report indicated Zimmerman had bruising on his face, but he refused to be hospitalized that night, ABC News said.

He also complained of “occasional nausea when thinking about the violence” and was told to see a psychologist, the report said, according to ABC.

Florida authorities last month charged Zimmerman with second-degree murder. He remains out on $150,000 bail.

Other court documents were filed late Monday by special prosecutor Angela Corey, including a witness list and 67 CDs and 56 audio-recorded statements to support the state’s claim against Zimmerman, The Orlando Sentinel reported.

Among the potential witnesses include Martin’s parents and brother, as well as Zimmerman’s father, a neighbor and a friend.

The new video evidence includes tapes from the 7-Eleven that Martin was coming from and the clubhouse in The Retreat at Twin Lakes, the condo where the teen was killed and his father lives, The Sentinel said.

Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, said in a bail hearing last month that he is worried about his client’s safety because of the wide attention the case has triggered.

“It’s been unimaginable,” Zimmerman’s father, Robert, told the Miami Herald on Monday. “Our lives will never be the same.”
