General Tournament Rules- House Rules

  1. CHA rules, ODMHA regulations and the ODMHA Code of disciplines shall apply to all teams, except as noted.
  2. Acceptance to the team entry releases the Eganville Minor Hockey Association, the organizers and officials of the tournament from any liability for any injury to participants or any loss or damage to equipment or personal belongings during the full period of the tournament.
  3. Tournament is for carded payers only. A maximum of 19 players(including goalies) per team. Team manager or coach must check in at the tournament table 30 minutes before their first game with their official team roster and for dressing room key team. Teams must provide a copy of their roster and all affiliate paper work to the tournament director. There is no access to a copier for the teams that do not have a copy available. For teams outside of District 5 please present travel permits.
  4. Before each game, the team Coach or Manger must sign the game sheet.
  5. All players are requested to sign the O.D.M.H.A sign sheet prior to each game.This will be the responsibility of the coach or manager.
  6. Teams will play 2 games. Games shall have three 10 minute periods stopped time. A mercy rule(straight time) will apply at anytime there is a 5 goal differential. No time outs are allowed in any tournament games. There will be an A and B championship.
  1. And teams must be ready to go on the ice 15 minutes before the scheduled game time. Teams will be allowed a 2 minute warm upon the ice prior to their game. Undue delay could result in a game delay penalty against the offending team. Teams are not allowed on the ice without the Referees/Games official present.
  1. Any Player receiving a match penalty will be disqualified from the remainder of the tournament. Players receiving a game misconduct will serve the suspension in subsequent

Tournament games if any applicable and may be disqualified from the remaining of the tournament. A Player who receives ANY three penelaties in the same game will be ejected for the remaining of that game.

  1. OVERTIME In the event of a tie in any game played during the tournament -5 minute Sudden death overtime period, run time. During sudden death overtime periods teams will play with 3 skaters plus a goalie. Substitutions are allowed. When a penalty would result in one teams having less than 3 skaters, the penalized team shall play with 3 skaters and the other team shall add one (or two) skaters for the duration of the penalty, returning to the proper

numbers off players at the stoppage in play following the expiration of the penalty. If the game remains tied a shootout will occur.One shooter per team will shoot at the same time. No same shooter shall shoot more than once.

10.Abuse of Officials will not be tolerated by any Coaching staff, Players, Parents or Supporters

11.Tournament Director will make the final decision on any conflicting issues resulting throughout the tournament.

12.Dressing rooms shall be left clean and without damages.

13.No hockey sticks of any kind, or any kind of play that can result in damage will be permitted in the hall.

14. Teams will be asked to shake hands at the beginning of each game.

15.Coaching staff will be asked to select an M.V.P from the own team. A player can only receive this award once.

16. At the end of every game please have both teams line up on their blue line for award presentations.
