Aid Staff
This is a part to full time, hourly position during the year which serves the ministry of Pacific Camps. This staff position reports directly to the Associate Site Director. He or she is expected to fulfill his or her responsibilities with minimum supervision.
The purpose of this ministry is to provide excellence in programming, administrative services, and care for clients that will result in clients and their families being confronted with the opportunity to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ and become members of a local Church.
General Qualifications
Must evidence the fruit of a personal Biblical Christian faith and be an active member in good standing of an evangelical church.
Must be self-motivated, hard-working, and demonstrate people skills.
Must be a qualified driver.
Must be Aid II qualified
Hours/Wages
The nature of this job requires various workdays of three to six consecutive hours. This amounts to a 5 - 30 hour work week.
The hours are subject to change according to the program needs and enrollment of children.
Wages –Afterschool employees are paid on an hourly basis. Employees receive minimum wage and are set according to the Oregon pay scale. Pay periods are on a bi-monthly basis.
Areas of Responsibility
After School Program Counselor. This includes being involved with children in the program when not driving. It does not include time in the office. All other duties should be planned and performed around the time spent with children in the after school program.
Drive daily routes at the needed times.
Janitorial. Daily cleaning of the areas that are designated as camp rooms. Duties include cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, wiping tables, etc. as well as set-up for the following day.
Interacting with parents and their children to promote and provide information about the Pacific Camps ministry. This may include manning the front desk in such a way that parents, visitors, and telephone calls may be handled in a proficient manner. This also includes supplying information regarding pricing and programming of the various areas of ministry within the Pacific Camps ministry.
Tasks which may include either the doing of these tasks or supervising these tasks: organizing and filing of all necessary materials (child information files, etc.); written communications to parents; receipting payments; log weekly attendance; processing outgoing mail; provide drivers information regarding changes in daily routing; contact with schools and/or parents to determine any change in a child’s daily schedule.
Submitting all payments from Associate Director on a weekly basis.

Due to the nature of this ministry there will be occasional times where additional responsibilities are expected. They will, however, be assigned and described in such a way that those expectations will be clear. Additional tasks are not to be undertaken if they interfere with the accomplishment of already assigned duties.
