ICAEW Chartered Accountants should be aware that they are now under a stricter professional guidelines in relation to giving tax planning advice than they have been ever before. In addition these guidelines are backed by a stronger discipline regime.

In this talk we will look at:

  • The history of tax planning guidelines
  • Why they have been changed
  • The ‘standards’ professional accountants will need to apply
  • The position of other professional bodies
  • The future

Peter is a regular speaker at district society meetings has been with the ICAEW Tax Faculty for three years having previously been with the tax technical teams at BDO and the practice support organisation Mercia Group.In addition he is a freelance lecturer.

This presentation is open to all ICAEW members and booking is essential. The cost of £12 (inc. VAT) per person includes a two course supper with a vegetarian option. Please indicate when booking if you require this.
