Coating Dryer Performance Basis(How is the dryer to be sized?)

To avoid overstating your dryer needs where there is more than one drying application it is usually desirable to avoid specifying all the “worst case” conditions (i. e.: heaviest coating, lowest solids, delicate substrate, fastest speed). Usually, more demanding applications are specified for a lower speed, less demanding applications are targeted at the higher speeds, etc. The dryer may be used for many different products, but must be sized for a single set of conditions, as indicated below.
