SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

·  The following policy details the variations to the conduct of playing Girls (7s) rugby matches in WA.

Girls (7s) Variations:

·  STRUCTURE

Step / Policy / Responsible
1 / COMPETITION STRUCTURE:
The competition will commence with all teams playing two games per Round against sides in the relevant age grade
At the completion of the fixtured season the top four teams will play off in a finals series, with 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd, with the winner of each game to play in the final.
If team numbers allow, there will be a lower table (Swan) finals series. / JCC
2 / FIXTURE TIMING: Due to the nature of the RWAJ Girls competition participant availability, Girls competition will be fixtured on a season by season basis. The reason for this flexibility is to assist the continued growth and availability of female junior players.
Suggestions for this for Clubs to negotiate and consider include:
a.  Friday night matches.
b.  Earlier start kick off on Saturdays
c.  Play on an alternative day/evening. / JCC

3 / TEAM NOMINATION:

5 / BORROWING OF PLAYERS
Where a Club has more than one team nominated, each team can borrow up to two players from their ‘other’ side.
For example, if RugbyWA have a Gold and Black team nominated in the U15 Girls competition, the Gold team can borrow up to two players from the nominated Black team.
These borrowed players must not play in the place of a nominated player, if the latter is present and able to play. / JCC
