Espanol 1101 Creaciones

General Information for all Creaciones

Creaciones (presentations) is your chance to show off how much you’ve learned in class. It is an opportunity to share a little bit about yourself in Spanish. It can be funny, serious, thought-provoking etc…as long as you are using the vocabulary, topics, and grammatical concepts we are currently covering. Please read the instructions and follow these steps in doing your creacion:

1)You first write out your creacion. It should be NO LESS than 200 WORDS. Turn it in on the date specified. Type your work, double-space itand use 14 font. Staple your papers together if it is more than one page. If you fail to comply with these instructions your paper will not be accepted

2)The profesor will make any necessary corrections and hand it back to you the next class meeting. You will go back and redo your creacion correctly

3) Study your creacion keeping in mind that you will not be able to read it or use notes when you present it

4)Prepare visuals for your presentation (i.e powerpoint). This will help you remember what you have to say and is part of the grade. DO NOT PUT WORDS ON YOUR POWERPOINT

5)Bring your corrected creacion the day you do your presentation and give it to the professor

6)Present your creacion! Presentation should be at least 2 minutes and no more than 5 minutes

KEEP IN MIND……..

1) If you do not hand in your written creacion on time, you will not be able to present it. You will get a zero on this project.

2)Handed in on time means you bring it to class on the day the professor specifies (not emailed or slid under my door)

3)Do not write it in English first and then attempt to translate it. Your English is better than your Spanish and you will not be able to translate it.

4)Do not use translators (human or internet). It is very obvious if you do and you will get a zero on the project.

5)When presenting….YOU ARE NOT PERMITTED TO READ OR USE NOTES. NO WORDS ON POWERPOINT

6)If you do not hand in written corrected version of creacion on the day of your presentation you will automatically lose 5 points on your presentation.

7)Presentations are usually done over two class sessions (depending on class size). You must present the day you are scheduled or you will receive a zero.
