"A course for experienced RN’s, LVN’s, LC’s, CLE’s, doulas and infant care providers who want to expand their expertise in lactation and learn the baby’s perspective."

Kittie Frantz, RN, CPNP-PC shares her experience of over 40 years in the field of pediatrics and breastfeeding in this intimate course. The small class size will bring many opportunities to network with your peers and have a one on one dialog with Kittie. The course is split into six 3-hour modules, two modules per day.

The Module titles are as follows:

Newborn Assessment – how it affects the breastfeeding process

The First Week – learning baby’s natural rhythms and patterns

Breastfeeding – the art of comfort care with clinical competencies

Breastfeeding – solving problems: soreness, engorgement, etc.

Myths, Advice Urban Legends – Helping the parent wade through

Gadgets and Gizmos – or the new mother baby and breastfeeding

Each module is $65.00. A total course completion of 6 modules is $390.00. A great lunch and break munchies will be provided in addition to a Syllabus workbook and a Certificate at course completion for 18 CEU’s. This course has been approved for 18 contact hours from the California Board of Registered Nursing Provider #CEP14457 and 18.1 “L” CEU’s from IBCLE which DONA accepts for recertification. The students-per-class limit is 10 for great networking so get your reservation in quick before this class fills.
