USHA TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. General
  1. In these conditions the Conference Organiser means the Universities Safety and Health Association. (USHA).
  2. The Conference Delegate means the person, University firm or company with whom the Conference Organiser contracts.
  3. Any agreement made between the Conference Delegate and Conference Organiser whether for the sale of goods and services hire of facilities or other business transactions shall only be subject to these terms and conditions.
  4. Any representation or warranty by or on behalf of the Conference Organiser prior to the contract whether orally or in writing is hereby expressly excluded and shall be of no effect.
  5. No agent or representative of the Exhibitor has any authority to vary or add to these terms and conditions except with the Exhibitor’s confirmation in writing and signed by the Chairperson or Secretary of USHA.
  6. Persons under the age of 16 are not permitted at the event without prior written consent from USHA.
  7. Conference Delegates agree that any photographs, video/film or sound recordings taken at the event by USHA, visitors, delegates, the press and other news media may be used by USHA for publicity and promotional material.
  1. Course or Service Bookings
  1. All bookings must be agreed in writing and confirmed by signing booking form. The booking form should be completed and the original should be returned to USHA, 201 Trevin Towers, Gaudick Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN20 7SP
  2. Bookings will be taken up to 4pm on 14th October bookings after this date are at the discretion of the Conference Organisers.
  3. Signatory of the agreement must be the person authorised to agree these Terms and Conditions and by signing, accepts these Terms and Conditions.
  4. Verbal bookings can be accepted but will only become confirmed once the booking form is received by the Conference Organiser.
  5. Before booking onto the event please ensure you have read the event programme and content to ensure the event will meet your needs.
  6. Conference Delegates must submit the attendees’ names and all personal details for their representatives on the booking form.
  7. A written confirmation will be sent to confirm the booking once the booking form has been received. The conference delegate will be responsible for liaising with any conference attendees (if applicable) that a place has been reserved.
  1. Prices and Payment
  1. Payment is due by 14th October. Payment must be made in Pounds Sterling, by cheque, credit/debit card or BACS.
  2. All prices shown in the seller’s catalogues, price lists, advertising or any other literature is exclusive of Value Added Tax at the prevailing rate at the time of invoicing.
  3. The Conference Organiser will be entitled to suspend all further services if the payment terms are not met. This will not in any way prejudice the seller’s rights under the contract.
  4. If a Purchase Order number is required on the invoice please provide at time of booking.
  5. A receipt will be issued once payment is received.
  1. Cancellation and Postponement
  1. Cancellations and postponements must be advised in writing. No agent or representative of the seller is authorised to accept verbal cancellation or postponement.
  2. Where written notice of cancellation or postponement is received five complete working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) or less before the commencement of the booking, the entire fee is payable unless a substitute delegate is proposed.
  3. Where written notification of cancellation or postponement is received between twenty and five complete working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) before the commencement of the course or service the Conference Organiser reserves the right to administer a charge up to 75% of the full costs of the booking.
  4. Where written notice of cancellation or postponement is received more than twenty complete working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) before the commencement of the booking USHA will make no charge for the cancellation.
  5. The Conference Organiser reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time after giving written notice to the Conference Delegate; The Conference Organiser will not compensate the Conference Delegate for any cancellations.
  6. The Conference Organiser will acknowledge all cancellations and postponements in writing prior to the commencement of the booking.
