3 / Progress of FIP / Union wise FIP – IV progress report was discussed in detail and its status as on 15th October 2011 is enclosed at Annexure – 1. It was informed by members that under FIP – IV programme for the year 2011, 67,630 animals have been registered under FIP – IV. 56,758 animals have been treated under first fertility camps (966), 52,482 animals have been treated under second fertility camps (966), 43,790 animals have been treated under third fertility camps (966) and 37,631 animals have been treated under fourth fertility camps (966).
Further, Union wise FIP – V progress report was also discussed in detail. Union wise FIP – V progress report and its status as on 15th October 2011 is enclosed at Annexure – 2. / FIP incharge

Kaira / FIP progress is discussed during ARDA Governing council meeting. Last meeting held on 30th September 2011.
Mehsana / Last meeting -11th October, 2011. Next meeting to be held on last week of October, 2011.
S’kantha / Last meeting held on 8th October 2011. Next meeting is on 16th November 2011.

6 / Productivity Enhancement Programme / There was detailed discussion about the Productivity Enhancement Programme. Members informed regarding the status of PEP. The status of the PEP and member unionwise PEP status is attached at annexure – 4 and also available on www.amul.org.in. PEP activities yet not initiated in Kaira Milk Union.
It was discussed that it has been decided in the last PCM that Kaira Milk Union would initiate PEP.

As it was decided in the last FIP meeting that MUs would put up suitable project proposal under financial assistance from GLPCL. Members informed regarding project proposal they have planned to put up under GLPCL. MUs wise details are as following:
9 / Discussion on implementing FIP/PEP on mass scale in around 5000 village / It was informed to the members that it has been discussed in last PCM that PEP should be implemented in mass scale in around 5000 villages across Gujarat.
Members suggested that in the programme both good features of FIP and PEP should be incorporated. After a detailed discussion it was decided that PEP progarmme with four fertility camps should be conducted in around 5000 villages where FIP has already been conducted.
Dr. ST Desai said that a separate plan, budget, team structure (Manpower Planning) and parameters for the programme should be prepared and advised that guidelines covering the same should be circulated to Milk Unions.
Further it was also discussed that calf born under this programme should taken under calf rearing programme. / FIP incharge and Core Group members

10 / Discussion on Animal Survey / It was informed to the members that in last PCM it has been decided to conduct Animal census.
Members discussed in details on these and it was decided to conduct Animal Census during Jan, 2012 (1St January to 31st January, 2012) as per same methodology followed in last Animal Census 2005. It was also decided that data entry would be done online in existing software. All MUs of GCMMF would be covered in Animal Census.
It was decided that Financial Parameters and detailed guideline for conducting census would be circulated to MUs.
It was also informed to the members that last date for receipt of online data entry by GCMMF for the census would be 15th March, 2011. / Dr. Priyang Bhatt
11 / Discussion on import of semen of pure breed animal / Dr. S T Desai advised to members to send indent of requirement of semen of purebred animals to be imported along with along with the Board resolution and other details like their breeding strategy and use of imported semen for the same, tracking and monitoring of animals born out of imported semen etc..
He also advised members to send the details as per predesigned and approved format for its further submission to the government, if required. / Core Group members
12 / Discussion on MTS project for deriving cost of Milk Production for IRMA students / It was informed to the members that MTS (Management Traineeship Segment) for PRM 2010-12 batch is scheduled between October 19th to December 14th, 2011.
Two students have been given the task to derive cost of milk production for landless, marginal, small and big farmers as their project work. So the students would visit various Milk Unions or collection of data and conduct of survey. Members were informed to coordinate and support for smooth conduct of the study.
9 / Other discussion / 1.  Data entry for in www.amul.org.in FIP IV to be freezed on 30th November, 2011.
2.  It was decided that Federation would provide RAL for calf starter and Milk Replacer.

Correction to be made in the website:

Fertility Improvement Programme:

·  Need to mentioned FIP – I, II or III on all the reports to differentiate.

·  Need to check all the data of Banaskantha Milk Union as it changes very frequently.

·  Need to provide tool for Sabarkantha Milk Union so that they can upload the data to our website.

·  PD date should be in descending order.

·  Need to design pedigree details of all animals indicating milk yield of their dam and bull number

·  For cow gestation period = 290 days and buffalo = 310. In case it exceed more than 10 days for prescribed days then the birth of young one should be considered as Natural Service Borne animals. Such animals should be considered along with other AI borne animals however we need all types of the report separately for this animals.

·  Need to develop all the remaining six reports for PEP activities

·  Animal death screen should be designed and developed.

·  Death, birth, calving, abortion and tagging retagging report require.

·  Total require at Road map activities.

·  Household report to be design.
