  1. The Rules of PWSA apply in all games, except where covered by the following rules.
  1. Teams must register ½ hour prior to the start of their first game with the park convenor.
  1. Home team to be decided by a coin toss prior to the start of the game by the home plate umpire. Team traveling the furthest will call the toss. The Home team is responsible to keep the official score. The official scorekeeper is to have a representative from each team initial the scoresheet and report the score to a park convenor at the end of the game.
  1. All players must bat. There is free defensive substitution. The use of pinch hitters and pinch runners is not allowed except for injury. A player injured during the game, and unable to continue, will be removed from the batting order — her spot is skipped with no penalty.
  1. All teams should be ready to take the field 15 minutes before the allotted game time. Players arriving late may be added to the bottom of the batting order.
  1. No infield practice. The infield is the skinned area between the foul lines.
  1. Round robin games to be a maximum of 7 innings. No new inning shall start after 1 hour and 30 minutes. The umpire is the official time keeper. If the home team is ahead after regulation time, the game is over. (home team will not bat in the bottom of last inning if they are ahead). In Round robin play if the teams are tied after regulation time, the game is over.
  1. Round Robin points awarded – wins (2), ties (1), losses (0)
  1. Medal games will be seven innings in duration. All non-medal play-off games and Mite medal games will be limited to no new inning starting after 1 hour and 30 minutes. If tied after regulation play, international tie breaker inning(s) to begin immediately.
  1. PWSA mercy rules apply to all games, including finals: 15 runs after 3 innings, 10 runs after 5innings. Mite will also have a 5run per inning mercy rule – with the last inning being open when the umpire calls last inning.

Mite Only You can pinch run for the catcher if they are on base with Two outs. No running on the third strike. No advancing bases on wild throws back to the pitcher from the catcher.No stealing home. You must be hit or walked home. No infield fly rule will apply.

  1. Ties in the standings will be broken in order by the following criteria:

- head to head play

-fewest runs allowed

-run differential ratio (runs for, divided by runs against)

-coin toss – Team traveling the furthest will call the toss.

  1. No Protests. Umpire decisions will be final
  1. The format of the tournament may be subject to change due to unforeseen events (rain, for instance) — decisions made by the Tournament Committee are final.
