Scale Room Drawing

Gather this information: Due Thursday 4/19 to begin drawing in class

  • Length of room
  • Width of room
  • Note: If your room is not a perfect rectangle, draw the shape and measure each wall
  • Length/Width of at least 4 bedroom objects. Items include: bed, dresser, night stand, book case, desk, etc.

Assignment:

  1. Neatly write your original measurements in the table provided.
  2. You must have:

  4. Bed dimensions
  5. You need 3 other pieces of furniture. Options include:
  6. Bed side table
  7. Dresser
  8. Wardrobe
  9. Bookcase
  10. Desk
  11. Determine a scale that will fit on a 8 ½” x 11” sheet of paper.
  12. Convert all of your original measurements to the scale measurements. Show your work in the table.
  13. Write your new measurements in the table.
  14. Using a ruler, draw your room on your paper.
  15. Get your drawing approved by Ms. DeLuca.
  16. Color your drawing.
