Equifest:- You do not have to be a member to enter the Equifest Qualifiers, qualification cards are available at the Secretaries Office should you wish to take the qualification. Please check the Equifest Website for full details and to also clarify breed registration requirements

Rules

1. The Judges decision is final

2. No Galloping on the Showground Unless in a Class

3. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times

4. Any objection must be lodged within 10 minutes of class closing together with a £20 fee which will be returned if the objection is upheld. Where an objection is lodged towards the height of a horse or pony, if a valid height certificate cannot not be produced on the day then the objection will stand and the animal will be disqualified from the class and the prize (if awarded one) will be taken off them and handed to the next eligible competitor. Where the objection relates to an age of a competitor, a valid form of ID will be required to prove their age. If this cannot be produced on the day then the objection will stand and the rider will be disqualified from the class and the prize (if awarded one) will be handed to the next eligible competitor.

4b. All ages for both horse & rider are taken from the 1st of January in the current year. All riders/handlers must have attained their 3rd birthday in the 1st of January in the current year. All ridden horse/ponies must be at least 4yrs old to compete in a ridden class.

5. The Organisation reserve the right to alter, amalgamate or cancel classes if insufficient entries.

6. Competitors must wear riding hats to the standards PAS 015, BSEN 1384, AS/NZS 1998 or Snell E2001 (all with the relevant quality symbols/kite mark) at all times when mounted. The Organisers reserve the right to ask any one demonstrating cruelty or anti-social behaviour to leave the showground and will be banned from any future events.

7. Whips are not to exceed 30”.

8. No refund of entries will be allowed. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, split or amalgamate classes where there are insufficient or too many entries.

9. The Organisation or Landowners of this show will not be held responsible in any way for any loss, damage or injury in any way.

10. No Mucking out of horseboxes on the showground.

11. Showjumping will be run to BS rules.

12. By entering any class you agree to abide by the Rules above.

The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. York & Ainsty South Hunt accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damage or accident to persons or property arising from the event.
