1. The exam was comparatively difficult last year with trickier questions testing the basic knowledge of the students.
2. This year paper covered all the topics mentioned in GATE syllabus with a few topics being covered for the first time. New topics covered in GATE 2015 paper included Semiconductor memories in Digital, DFT in signals and Systems, GSM in communications, Life time of carriers in EDC, etc.
3. There were no changes in direction or pattern of exam as compared to previous year
4. In mathematics, questions were from differential equations, plotting a graph of given exponential equation, matrices, mean value theorem, solution of linear equations and complex variables.
