GANG OF SNATCHERS/AUTO-LIFTERS BUSTED BY STAFF OF ANTI-SNATCHING CELL, OUTER DISTRICT

HIGHLIGHTS:-

Three accused persons namely Shamsuddin @ Shamshu (28 yrs), Bharat @ Bhartu (19 yrs) and Vijay Soni (28 yrs) arrested by the staff of Anti-Snatching Cell, Outer District, Delhi.

Two cases of snatching and two cases of vehicle theft worked out.

One Maruti Esteem car, one Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle and two snatched gold chains recovered from their possession.

BRIEF FACTS:-

With the arrest of three accused persons namely Shamsuddin @ Shamshu (28 yrs), Bharat @ Bhartu (19 yrs) and Vijay Soni (28 yrs), Anti- Snatching Cell, Outer District, Delhi has busted a gang of snatchers /auto lifters and worked out two cases of motor vehicle theft and two cases of snatching.

INCIDENTS:-

  1. Case FIR No 349/12 dated 06/09/12, u/s 379 IPC, PS-Subhash Place, Delhi

Sh. Ravinder Kumar r/o Shakurpur, Delhi reported that his Maruti Esteem Car bearing Registration No. DL-3C-G-5897, sky blue colour had been stolen in the night intervening 05-06/09/12from Shakurpur, In front of Indira Poly-Clinic. Hence the above said case was registered and investigation was taken up.

  1. Case FIR No 212/12 dated 09/09/12, u/s 379 IPC, PS-Khyala, Delhi

Sh. Narender Kumar r/o Vishnu Garden reported that his Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle bearing Registration No. DL-4S-ND-3783, colour black had been stolen in the night intervening 08-09/09/12 from Vishnu Garden, Khyala, Delhi.Hencethe above said case was registered and investigation was taken up.

  1. Case FIR No 284/12 dated 12/08/12, u/s 356 / 379 /34 IPC, PS North Rohini, Delhi

On 07.09.12at around 5.10 PM, Smt. Abha Gupta reported that two Black coloured motorcycle borne persons snatched her gold chain at Sector 7-8 divider road, Rohini when she had gone to the market. Hence the above said case was registered and investigation was taken up.

  1. Case FIR No 298/12 dated 12/08/12 u/s 356 / 379 /34 IPC PS Mangol Puri, Delhi

On 12.08.12, Smt. Kavita r/o Mangol Puri, Delhi reported that at around 3.45 PM, two Black coloured pulsar motorcycle borne persons snatched her gold chain in Mangol Puri, Delhi when she had gone to the market. Hence the above said case was registered and investigation was taken up.

TEAM/INVESTIGATION:-

On 18.09.12, a team comprising of SI Ajay Karan Sharma, HC Dharambir, Ct. Mahesh, Ct. Rajesh, Ct. Sanjay, Ct. Krishan, Ct. Inderjeet, Ct. Dharmender and Ct. Vikrant under supervision of Sh. Suresh Chander, ACP/ PG, Outer District proceeded for Special Anti-Snatching Picket.At around 2.45 PM, on secret information, two persons namely Shamsuddin @ Shamsu and Bharat @ Bhartu were apprehended in Sector-8, Rohini on a Black coloured Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle bearing Registration No. DL-4S-ND-3783. They were questioned regarding their presence in this area to which they could not give any satisfactory reply. They were asked to produce the documents related to the ownership of the motorcycle, but they could not produce the documents pertaining to the ownership of the motorcycle. On verifying the status of the motorcycle, it was found to be stolen vide Case FIR No. 212/12 u/s 379 IPC P.S. Khyala, Delhi. The Motorcycle was seized u/s 102 Cr.P.C. and the accused arrested u/s 41.1 (D) CrPC.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI:-

During interrogation, one Maruti Esteem Car registration No. DL-3C-G-5897 which was found stolen vide Case FIR No. 349/12 u/s 379 IPC P.S. Subhash Place, Delhi. At their instance, one person namely Vijay Soni s/o Radhey Shyam Soni receiver of snatched gold chains was arrested and 2 gold chains reported snatched vide Case FIR No. 284/12 u/s 356/ 379 / 34 IPC P.S. North Rohini, Delhi and Case FIR No. 298/12 u/s 356/ 379 / 34 IPC P.S. Mangol Puri, Delhi were recovered from his possession. The Gold chains were also seized u/s 102 Cr.P.C. Vijay Soni was also arrested u/s 41.1 (D) Cr.P.C. Both Samshuddin @ Shamshu and Bharat @ Bhartu in order to secure some source of income started stealing Motor Vehicles and started snatchings. Both accused used to conduct recci in the targeted area such as residential and market areas on some pretext or the other to get an idea of the entry and escape route for stealing Motorcycles, Cars and for snatching. Both the accused had kept the cars with them in order to sell them off to some appropriate customer at a convenient time and used stolen Motor Cycle for snatchings.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:-

  1. Shamshuddin @ Shamshu (28 yrs) s/o Deen Mohd. r/o K-628, Mangol Puri, Delhistudied upto 8th Standard. He is a BC of PS-Mangol Puri and is a habitual criminal.
  1. Bharat @ Bhartu (19 yrs) s/o Ram Swaroop. r/o Dhani Ram Market, Shiv Vihar, Delhi. He is illiterate. He has no regular source of income. Due to this he fell into bad company and started snatching and theft.
  1. Vijay Soni (28 yrs) s/o Radhey Shyam Soni r/o E-84, Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi studied upto 12th Standard and started a jewellery shop.

AUTO-LIFTER ARRESTED : THREE CASES OF AUTO LIFTING SOLVED

With the arrest of Sonu Choudhary s/o Late Subhash Chand R/o 366, D-2, Hari Nagar, Part-II, Jaitpur, New Delhi, aged 22 years, AATS/South-East District has solved three cases of auto-lifting and recovery of three m/cycles has been affected.

INVESTIGATION:

In order to prevent the increased incidents of auto theft in South- East District, a team of AATS/ South East District headed by SI Anand Parkash consisting of HC Parvir, Ct. Parvesh No. 2283/SE and Ct. Varun No. 1404/SE was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Virender Kalia ACP/Ops., to develop intelligence regarding such criminals operating in the district. On 18.9.11 at 8.30 PM, on a secret information above mentioned accused was arrested from Tanki Road, Mithapur Chowk, Jaitpur, N.D. with a M/Cycle No. DL-3SAP-3675 which was found stolen from PS Jaitpur vide FIR No. 299/12 u/s 379 IPC, on checking through ZIPNET.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI

On sustained interrogation the accused Sonu, disclosed that he studied up to class 10th but could not continued his studies after his father’s death. He worked in Delhi Jal Board temporarily but left the job due to less salary. Then he started supplying medicines in Apollo Pharmacy. About three years ago he got married with Monica who gave birth to a girl child about one year ago. His income was not sufficient to fulfill the requirement of his family so he started auto-lifting. The following vehicles were recovered on his instance:

TWO BURGLARS ARRESTED

The staff of Police Station Tilak Nagar, West Distt. have done a good work by arresting two burglars namely Suraj @ Sujan S/o Haridass R/o D-294, J.J. Colony Khyala Delhi and Ajay Kumar @ Raju S/o Jaglal R/o Vega-bond Tilak Nagar Delhi vide FIR No 346/12, U/s 380/411/34 IPC and FIR No 368/12 u/s 457/380 IPC P.S. Tilak Nagar respectively and recovered two stolen Mobile Phones from their possession. Accused Ajay @ Raju have already been arrested previously in 10 cases of burglary and Arms Act in various police stations of Delhi.

NAME & PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON

1. Suraj @ Sujan S/o Haridass R/o D-294, J.J. Colony Khyala Delhi, age 20 years.

2. Ajay Kumar @ Raju S/o Jaglal R/o Vega-bond Delhi. He has been arrested previously in 10 cases of Burglary and Arms Act in various Police Stations of Delhi, age 26 years.

RECOVERY MADE

Two stolen Mobile Phones.

INFORMATION AND OPERATION

A case FIR No 346/12 u/s 380 IPC, dated 28/8/2012, was registered on the complaint of Smt. Shashi Bala w/o Late Sh. Rajkapoor r/o G-82, First Floor Sant Nagar Extn. regarding theft of her mobile phone, gold ornaments and cash from her house and another case FIR No 368/12 u/s 457/380 IPC was registered in this police station on the complaint of Sh. Brijesh Kumar Gupta s/o Om Parkash Gupta r/o S-2/26, Old Mahavir Nagar, New Delhi in which 2 mobile phones and cash were stolen after breaking of iron grills of his house. A team consisting of PSI Satish Dagar, HC Deep Chand, HC Rajiv Kumar and HC Jai Bhagwan under the supervision of Inspr. Kishore Kumar SHO/Tilak Nagar. During the course of investigation, IMEI No of stolen mobiles phones were kept on surveillance. The CDR of the above said stolen phone was obtained in which the above said phone was used by the accused person continuously as per CDR. After identifying the location, a raid was conducted on 17/9/2012 at J.J. Colony Khyala under the supervision of SHO Tilak Nagar and accused Suraj was apprehended with stolen mobile phone. On 18/9/2012 another raid was conducted at Vikas Nagar, Uttam Nagar and accused Ajay Kumar @ Raja was apprehended with stolen mobile phone under the supervision SHO Tilak Nagar. Accused person have been arrested in above mentioned cases. On sustained interrogation they have confessed their involvements.

RUPEES THREE LAKHS FORTY THOUSANDS RECOVERED : FRIEND ARRESTED FOR STEALING CASH

With the arrest of one Ashok Mishra @ Loknath, aged 43 years s/o Rambali Mishra r/o T-251, Gali No.-21A, Baljit Nagar, Delhi, Central District police has solved a case of theft, which had taken place in the area of P.S. Rajender Nagar, Delhi. Rs 3,40,000/- were recovered at the instance of the accused person.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

On 10.09.2012 at about 5.15 PM, one Lallan Shah reported at PS Prasad Nagar regarding theft of Rs 5,00,000/- from his shop No-148, Hog Market, Rajendra Place, Delhi. On this, a case vide FIR No. 199/12, dated 10.09.2012 u/s 379 IPC was registered at PS Prasad Nagar, Delhi and investigation was taken up.

TEAM

To expedite the investigation and arrest the culprit, a team consisting of Inspr. Narender Tyagi, SHO/Prasad Nagar, SI Prakash Roy and Ct. Ajit Singh was constituted under the supervision of Sh. Raja Ram, ACP/Karol Bagh, Delhi.

INVESTIGATION

During thorough and painstaking investigation, it was revealed that one Ashok Mishra could be involved in this case. Sincere efforts were made to locate the suspect Ashok Mishra. Finally, on the basis of technical surveillance and secret information, accused Ashok Mishra was apprehended by the police team. Rs. 3,40,000/- were recovered at his instance.

On sustained interrogation, accused Ashok Mishra @ Loknath disclosed that he was working as a helper in a construction company. He was well known to the complainant and due to friendly relation with the complainant, he used to come at the shop of the complainant. On 28.08.12, the owner of the shop Lallan Shah s/o Achebar Shah had withdrawn Rs 5,00,000/- from Punjab National Bank for business purpose and put it into his table drawer in the presence of accused Ashok Mishra and thereafter went to Rajendra Bhawan, Rajendra Place for some work. In the mean time, accused person got a chance to steal money and he took the opportunity to steal and thereafter disappeared. He also switched off his mobile phone. Later on complainant came back at his shop and saw that Ashok Mishra was not there and money Rs.5,00,000/- had also been stolen.

Further investigation / interrogation is in progress.

Ashok Mishra @ Loknath S/O Rambali Mishra r/o T-2591, Gali No.-21A, Baljit Nagar, Delhi is 43 years old and studied up to 9th class. He worked as a helper /storekeeper in a construction company. He has three daughters and one son and belongs to a poor family.

With the arrest ofaccusedKaran(28 years) s/o Budhi Singh R/o H. No. 220, Sector-23, Raj Nagar, Gaziabad (U.P) and accusedRahul(23 years) S/o Bal Bahadur R/o Terrace of Building No. 1181, Arjun Nagar, Kotla Mubark Pur Delhi, staff ofPS K.M. Pur,South Districthas solved a recent case of day burglary and recovered stolen cash and jewelry worth Rs. 10 lacs.

BRIEF FACTS:

On 15.09.11 at around1 PM, Smt. Monika Aggarwal w/o Sh. Sanjay Aggarwal r/o 1181, 1stFloor, Arjun Nagar, Kotla Mubarak Pur,Delhiwent to see her parents in Trans-Yamuna area. She came back at around6.30 PMand found that her house had been burgled and the thieves had stolen gold / diamond jewelry and cash from the house. She reported the matter to PS K.M. Pur and on her statement a case vide FIR No. 206 dated 15.09.12 u/s 454/380/34 IPC was registered and investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION :

During the course of investigation, it came to notice that the guard Karan, (who was deputed for the safety and security of the building, in which the complainant is residing) along with one Rahul, who used to live on the terrace of the building were missing since the day of incident.In order to locate them, a team comprising SI Sanjeev, SI Sushil, HC Charanjeet Singh, Cts Narender Malik, Kultrun, Anuj, Mahesh and Jagdish was formed under the leadership of Inspr. Naresh Solanki, SHO/K.M. Pur. During investigation, the team worked relentlessly to locate absconding Karan and Rahul and conducted raids at their possible hideouts inDelhiand UP but they could not be located. The team geared up their sources and worked hard which yielded results and a secret information from a reliable source was received regarding the movements of suspects in Gandhi Nagar area ofEast Delhi. Accordingly, a trap was laid and both absconding Karan and Rahul were apprehended from Gandhi Nagar area ofEast Delhi, while they are about to leave forNepal. On their search, stolen jewelry and cash of the complainant was recovered from their possession.

INTERROGATION :

During interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that they belong toNepal. They are illiterate and had come toDelhiin search of jobs around 5 years back. Accused Karan was employed as guard by the owners of building just 5-6 months ago for the security of building. Rahul used to clean the cars of the residents of that area and was residing in the terrace of the building. During this period, they came to know that complainant’s husband is running wholesale business of stationary articles in Chandni Chowk and they presumed that handsome cash and jewelry might be available at his house. Hence, they kept close watch on the movements of complainant and her husband. On 15.09.12, when the complainant left for her parental house, they broke open the locks of the house and stole cash and jewelry and escaped from the spot. They planned to escape to their native place inNepalwith the cash and jewelry. Hence, they booked ticket for a bus from Anand Vihar to Sarauli Border for 17.09.12 but apprehended by the police team.

Staff of PS Vasant Vihar, South District has arrested one proclaimed offender namely Badal Singh (27 years) s/o Batua Lal r/o Village Kediya, District Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh who is also a gang leader, indulged in thefts at Farm Houses / Wedding Parties with the help of small children and ladies.

BRIEF FACTS :

In view of incidents of thefts reported in marriage functions in the area of Munirka and farm houses situated in the adjacent areas of PS Vasant Vihar, a team comprising PSI Asha Singh, D-5222, HC Jagpal Singh, 463/SD and Ct. Praveen Kumar, 3316/SD was constituted to keep close watch in the area to prevent such activities and to develop information about the culprits involved in such criminal activities.On 18.09.12, the team received secret information about the movements of accused Badal Singh in Lal Sahi Market, Lajpat Nagar,New Delhi, who was involved in such criminal activities.Immediately, the team laid trap in Lal Sahi Market, Lajpat Nagar and apprehended accused Badal Singh and recovered stolen mobile phone from his possession.
