Fellowship Coffee Breakfast – There is Fellowship Coffee Breakfast each week please join us between services in the Parish Hall from 9-9:30 am. There is a sign-up sheet if you would like to sponsor a week or join in with your friends and sponsor a week.

The Parish Ministry Team has made reservations for a tour of the Shrine in St. John, today May 21 at 1:30 p.m., we must arrive at the Shrine by 1:15. There is no charge for the event itself. We hope everyone will join us.

Hammond Circuit Joint Ascension Service will be held here at Trinity thisThursday, May 25th at 7 p.m. Please join in celebrating the Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ into heaven. There is a dinner before, see insert about this. Dessert and Coffee will follow the service.

SWADDLING CLOTHES MINISTRY - This month Trinity will collecting; diapers of any size; most needed are sizes 3 and 4, or any of the items listed below. The program is an ongoing mission and they are always in need of clean “gently used” infants and toddler clothing, up to size 3T, diapers, wipes, and formula. Items can be brought in at any time and left in the Pack-in-Play in the Parish Hall. There will also be a dinner before the Ascension Service on May 25th where all monies or items donated that night will go to the Swaddling Clothes Ministry.

Trinity’s Food Pantry - Congratulations!! Through Trinity’s small food pantry, you have successfully fed not only members, but neighbors, family, and friends of members. Your generosity is truly amazing. Our food pantry currently needs that following: Macaroni and cheese, Spaghetti Sauce (no noodles, we have plenty), Peanut Butter, Jelly, Canned Fruit, Cereal, Pancake Mix, Syrup, and Muffin Mixes. Thank you for helping to feed the hungry!

Cap-a-thon – All kinds of caps or lids (no fountain drink lids or coffee cup lids) are accepted. Cottage Cheese Lids, Sour Cream Lids, Cool Whip Lids, Mayo, Salad Dressing, Ketchup, Mustard, Soap bottles, Shampoo, Creamer, Toothpaste Caps, Spray Paint Caps, Ointment Tube Caps, Deodorant Caps, Hair Spray Caps, Peanut Butter, Ice Cream Bucket Lids, Medicine Bottles with Caps (take off label, numbers 2, 4 & 5), Laundry Soap, Fabric Softener, Pop/Water Bottle Caps, Milk Jugs Caps. All most any type of hard plastic lid/cap will work. We need 400 lbs. to reach the next bench. We are currently at 231.40 lbs., we are over half way there!!!! Keep collecting those caps!

We are still collecting pancake syrup (any brand) - for the Greater Hammond Community Services, Inc. food drive. If you are able to donate, please leave in the box in the Parish Hall and it will be delivered to them once we fill up the box again. Thanks to everyone who is helping with this outreach project.

Memorial Day Service at Concordia Cemetery 6551 N. Calumet Ave., Hammond by the Crucifix Garden will be held on Monday, May 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on. In case of bad weather, it will be held in the cemetery chapel.

VBS – is looking for damaged (scratched) CD or Movie DVD to use to make a decoration needed for VBS. 2 liter cleaned and empty pop bottles are also needed. If you have any that you can donate please see Mary Schoop. Thank you.
