“G” Force POW’s who sailed on the Kyokko Maru but did not go to Omi

Cardex indicates that Pte Cooper went to Tokyo Camp 10b Arakawa formerly Tokyo camp 20d. It also indicates he survived captivity and was repatriated on the 30th August 1945. He is listed on the camp roster of Tokyo #9-B camp, Ashio. Ashio is also noted as Tokyo 12D. Also shown as being at HQ camp 1943.

2) (298) Green. W.J.GnrRA Service Corps10586642737 Leicester. Leicestershire

Cardex indicates that Gnr W.J. Green went to Tokyo Camp 7d and then was transferred to Tokyo camp 6b. It also indicates he survived captivity and was repatriated on the 6th Sept 1945 but we do not know where from. His name is not included on any POW lists at Omi camp.

On Japanese listof all POW’s in Tokyo camps it indicates he was at H.Q. This was a list compiled possibly 1943 and found by Recovered Personnel Team, file number 3136-10, AG-K1 form 1 (20th July 1945).

William John Green was aboard an American aircraft that was lost a sea whilst being ferried from Okinawa to Manila on the 10th September 1945

3)(299) Scott. J.A.Cdr.Indian Army Ordnance CorpsM/247202776Deolali. India Cardex indicates that CDR J. A. Scott went to Tokyo Camp 10d Arakawa formerly established as Tokyo 20d. It also indicates he survived captivity and was repatriated on the 30th August 1945.His name is not included on any of the Omi POW lists at Omi camp.Also shown as being at HQ camp 1943. He was repatriated on the 30th August 1945

4)(300) Smith. P. C.Pte5th Suffolk Rgt58286992779Ixworth. Suffolk

Cardex indicates that Pte Peter.C. Smith went to Tokyo Omori Main Camp on the 30th September 1943. He is listed on the British and Allies Camp Roster. His cardex indicates he survived captivity and was liberated on the 15th August 1945.
