CONDITIONS AND DECLARATION

•I hereby certify that the information contained in this application form is accurate, and acknowledge that in the event of a Grant being made, the application form and guidance notes will be the basis of a binding agreement.

  • Applications will go through two stages. Stage 1 - Councillors Panel; Stage 2 – Public Vote

•The Project Group MUST be able to attend the funding event of Stage 2(if unsuccessful in Stage 1). This event is scheduled for Wednesday 28 February 2018, 6pm where groups must deliver a 3 minute pitch about their project.

•The decision of the panel and public vote is final.

•Any award made will be used ONLY for purposes for which it is granted.

  • An End of Fund Form MUST be completed evidencing allocation of funds.

•That no funding from other sources will be received for those items detailed in the Application Form which would constitute double funding.

•All funding must be spent within 6 months (spent by 28 August 2018).

•Any unspent monies MUST be returned in the form of a cheque payable to Bury Council.

•I understand that failure to comply with the above requirements may result in the recovery of monies paid.

GUIDANCE NOTES

Prestwich Neighbourhood Engagement Team and Partners are proud to introduce the ParkLife2017 Community Fund serving local projects within the Prestwich Area. ParkLife takes place in Heaton Park each June and as part of their commitment to reducing the impact of the event by working with local residents and community groups, this fund will help address local issues within the Prestwich area. The application process is in two stages with a Councillor Panel followed by public vote where members of the public will be invited to vote on how money is spent on projects to help improve green space in Prestwich.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The Fund is open to everyone – both constituted and unconstituted groups
  • You do not have to be Prestwich based, but the project must take place within the following Prestwich wards: St. Mary’s, Sedgley and Holyrood
  • Priority is given to projects that focus on Parks and Green Spacesand events that benefit the whole community and Prestwich residents

HOW MUCH CAN I APPLY FOR ?

•£22,000 is available and applicants can apply for up to £1,500per project.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ?

•All applications must be received by midnight on 14 January 2018.

•Following receipt, applications will be assessed for eligibility against the priority criteria.We may contact you for additional information.

•Eligible projects will be subject to a two stage process. Stage 1- Councillors Panel, following which successful projects will be notified.

•Stage 2 - The Pitch, where those unsuccessful at Stage 1 will be invited to the public funding event which will be held on Wednesday 28 February 2018, 6pm.Stage 2 applicantsmust attend this event to be considered for funding.

•At The Pitch event, your group will be required to deliver a 3 minute pitch to outline their project, please note that visual aids are acceptable during the presentation, however the use of a PowerPoint presentation is not allowed.Late arrivals will not be allowed into the event once it has started.

  • Pitches will be considered by members of the public who have an interest in the area/group and the projects receiving the most votes will receive funding.

•The results of the vote will be announced at the event (Wednesday 28 February 2018).

•The grant must be spent within 6 months(spent by 28 August 2018) at the very latest but the activities can continue afterwards. An End of Fundform must be completed following this time.

•Any unspent monies must be returned.

•Funding may not be applied for:

  • Salaries and associated costs, unless for a fixed period project;
  • Promotion of any religious or political cause;
  • Towards the general running costs, e.g. utility bills, major construction/repair of assets.

•Bidding organisations do not need to be constituted, but will need their own group account or nominate a recognised organisation (e.g. Church, Community Centre, School) to act as a banker.
