Fund Raising Activities

Definition of Fund-Raising Activities:

A fund-raising activity may be defined as any activity involving participation of a student body or a school-recognized student group/booster club under taken for the purpose of deriving funds for a school or a school-sponsored group/booster club.

Fund-Raising Activities for a School

GENERAL

  1. Fund-raising activities are not confined to regular school hours but are considered an extension of the school program. When fund-raising activities are in the name of the school, all funds raised become school funds, belonging to the school-sponsored group responsible for raising the money.
  1. In September of each year, each principal shall submit to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability an annual fund-raising plan on the Fund Raising Request listing the organizations/booster club, which will engage in fund-raising activities with the intended use of the funds specified.
  1. Each organization/booster club is limited to a maximum of SIXfundraisers with three total per semester including two selling and one service or three service.

Note: Any organization that receives booster club support must collaborate to meet the requirement of a maximum of SIX fundraisers.

  1. Four (4) selling fund-raising activities OR A. Six (6) service activities
  2. Two (2) service activities
  1. Each organization/booster club requiring participation in fundraising shall designate a Buy-Out Option with designated amount for a one-time buy-out and individual fundraiser buy-out amounts.
  1. To request permission to conduct a fund rising activity, the club sponsor/booster club sponsor should complete the application portion of the Fund Raising Request. After the activity the club sponsor/booster club sponsor should complete the Financial Recap and Fund Raiser Summary Sheet and submit to their Campus Principal.
  1. A campus administrative committee will screen all requests, with the committee’s recommendation and campus principal signature being submitted to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability for approval.
  1. Only emergency requests shall be eligible for consideration at other times and shall be reviewed by the committee and approved by the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Accountability.
  1. At the end of each school year each organization shall report to the Principal regarding the outcome of each fund-raising activity and how these funds were used.
