On 01.07.2011, one complainant, father of victim girl reported missing of his minor girl aged 14 years from his house and got suspicion that some one has lured his daughter. Immediately a case of kidnapping was got registered at Police station Seelam Pur and investigation was taken up.

TEAM & OPERATION: -

Considering the gravity and sensitivity of the kidnapping of a minor girl, a dedicated team headed by Inpsr Sanjiv Gupta, SHO/Seelam Pur comprising SI Mukesh Kumar, W/ASI Thampa, HC Rameshwar Prasad, Ct. Chiranji Lal and Ct. Sonu Rathi under the close supervision of Sh. Chander Kant Talwar, ACP/ Seelam Pur was constituted to search the kidnapped girl and apprehend the culprits.

Initially the case was totally blind but with painstaking and relentless efforts, various pieces of evidence, testimony and information were linked to solve the intrigue puzzle of this case. The background of victim was thoroughly analyzed to learn about her background antecedent and her past movement including last seen.

The persistent follow up and relentless efforts paid result and one small clue was received regarding her whereabouts through one phone call. The team immediately swung into action and further developed that clue. Due to sincere efforts, it bore results and the exact whereabouts of the girl could be ascertained. Finally the victim girl was rescued.

INVESTIGATION: -

On the examination of the victim girl, she narrated her story of ordeal and pain. She is a resident of ShastriPark, Seelam Pur, and went to Khajuri Khas to meet her friend, but unfortunately lost her way. While roaming there and asking for way, she was noticed by Sanjida, the main supplier/trafficker. Sanjida immediately allured her on pretext and took her to her house and confined her. She took her to Shahbad, District Kurukshetra, Haryana to the location of her conduit Aashia, who had arranged the final customer. There she was soled to one Ranbir, the “So called Groom” for Rs. 70,000/- to marry him. There

she was treated as slave/maid and used to do all house hold chores.

Acting on her disclosure and clue given by her, firstly Aashia w/o Iqbal r/o Barad Road, Village & PS Shahbad, Distt. Kurukshetra, Haryana was apprehended from Shahbad. She is quite famous there for making such matches. Ranbir approached her through his relative. Due to adverse and skewed sex ratio and non availability of matrimonial match, of late the practice of purchasing girls for marriage purpose is prevalent in Haryana. However, they are treated as domestic servant and not given the due dignity of bride. Ranbir aged 32 years, who is a divorcee, was looking a girl to fulfill his domestic and physical need. Only motive behind this alliance was to arrange for a girl/lady who could do all household chores and look after elder members besides fulfilling his sexual needs.

However, the main culprit Sanjida was out of the clutches of police. She was absconding from her house. Thus, two raid parties were especially constituted and they conducted raids at various places to nab her. Finally with great difficulty, raid party succeeded in locating and apprehending her from Sonipat, Haryana on 19.09.2011.

During preliminary examination, she disclosed that earlier her husband Jaipal used to supply girls in Haryana. After his murder 5/6 months back, she took over the business. She confessed that her husband had sold more than a dozen girls so far. They used to look for vulnerable and defenseless girls to whom they could easily allure, influence and win through false assurance or threat. Most of them were either illiterate, poor/destitute and doesn’t know much. So they used to visit bus stand/railway stations and look for lonely girls who either fled from their house out of domestic atrocities or employment. They influenced them with false promise/assurance and then used to sell them through their contacts in Haryana. Jaipal was got murdered by his stepson 5/6 months back.
