Proclaimed Offender arrested: - Timarpur Police arrested one Jameel, 27 year, R/o Jhuggi Turkman gate, Delhi, yesterday. According to DCP North Office, a local Court had declared him P.O. in a case of theft registered at P.S Timarpur in the year 2002.

Bootlegger arrested: - Sarai Rohilla police arrested one Dharampal, 35 year, R/o 3730 Gali No. 9, Narang Colony, Tri Nagar, Delhi, yesterday. According to DCP North Office, he was intercepted by the staff during routine checking while carrying a total of 144 halves and 96 quarters of illicit liquor in a Cycle Rikshaw near main road Sarai Rohilla. The accused was subsequently arrested. Further Investigation is in progress.

Public help is sought in identifying the bodies :- Old Delhi Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a male, aged around 25/30 year, Ht. 5’5”, wheatish complexion, round face, wearing grey pants and shirt &green baniyan, found at railway track, Old Seelam Pur, Delhi on 11.5.08.

Subzi Mandi Railway police have sought public help in identifying the body of a female, aged around 20 year, Ht. 5’, wheatish complexion, round face, medium built, wearing white/red printed suit and red salwar, found on 12.5.08.

NOTORIOUS GANG OF DACOITS BUSTED WITH RECEIVER OF LOOTED PROPERTY: FIRE ARMS & OTHER LOOTED ARTICLES RECOVERED.

INTRODUCTION

With the arrest of six persons namely i) Mohan @ Monu aged 20 years s/o Prem Singh r/o Budhpur, Alipur Delhi, 2) Ajay @ Bhushan, aged 19 years s/o Gorishankar r/o Mohanpur Distt Begurasai, Bihar, 3) Ajau @ Kallu, aged 20 years s/o Madan Singh r/o Vill Akbaria, Kanpur UP, 4) Arvind @ Chottu aged 20 years s/o Bainath Prashad r/o Raniganj Gaya Bihar and 5) Rakesh aged 20 years s/o Ram Kumar r/o Alipur Delhi Crime Branch, Delhi Police have busted a gang of notorious dacoits consisting of 20 members, who were involved in series of decoties committed in the area of Alipur, Swaroop Nagar and SP Badli in Outer Distt. The Police team has also apprehended one Ravi aged 20 years s/o Ishwar Singh r/o Burari, Delhi, receiver of looted/robbed articles. With their arrest the Police team has also recovered a .315 Bore country made pistol with 2 live cartridges, 4 daggers, 5 mobile phones, 1 Tata 407 tempo, 6 plastic grain sacks, 4 rims of maruti tyre from their possession.

INCIDENT, TEAM & INVESTIGATION :

Sh. Kali Charan r/o Gali No.22, Godown No. 28/5, Libas Pur, Delhi reported that he is caretaker as well as loader of this Godown. In the intervening night of 21/22-04-2008, he was sleeping in the office of Godown with his family members. At about 1.30 am, he heard noise of opening of the gate. As he opened the gate of his room, one person caught his mouth and other caught his hands and third one pointed sharp edged weapon towards him. All of them were muffled with white cloth. They also brought Surat Singh, another worker of Godown, to his room with tied hands. Two of them remain present with them in the room. He could not raise alarm. After about half an hour, they left the room after closing the door. When labour opened the door, he saw that 7 tons of brass was found robbed from the two rooms of the Godown with three mobile phones from his room. A case under appropriate sections of law was registered at PS SP Badli in this regard.

Since there was a series of such incident in the area of Outer Distt. Particularly in the area of PS Alipur, Swaroop Nagar and SP Badli, a team from SOS Crime Branch was constituted consisting of SIs P.C.Yadav, Sukhbir Malik Surender Singh, ASI Anand Prakash, HCs Hanuman, Sukhbir, Cts Kartar, Sushil, Suresh led by Insp. Arvind Kumar under the overall supervision of ACP Udaiveer Singh Rathee. The team visited the spots and studied the pattern of crime. It was revealed that the culprits used to come in tempo and load the articles lying in godown after overpowering the inmates. Since all the occurrences were within the area of nearby 2/3 police stations, there was strong possibility of involvement of local criminals. The antecedents of local criminals arrested in same type of crime were analyzed. The sources were deployed and local criminal intelligence was developed. It was revealed that one such gang having a member of about

20 persons headed by one Arvind @ Chottu r/o Alipur Delhi was operating in that area and indulged in same type of crime. On 13/5/08, on basis of a secret information, a trap was laid on the road going towards Alipur Village at 8.30PM and above mentioned 5 members of the gang were apprehended while they were planning to commit another decoity in a godown in the area of Alipur.

INTERROGATION:

During the course of sustained interrogation they disclosed that they are members of a gang who is indulge in committing loot at the godowns in area of Alipur, Sannouth, Swaroop Nagar, Bhalaswa Burari etc. The number of gang member was found to be more then 20. While committing crime, they act very swiftly and overpower the inmates and then load the goods lying there in the Tata 407 tempo carried by them. The most daring part on their criminal life was found to be the loot committed 4 times repeatedly in 2 godown in Sannoth, Bhorgarh and Bakoli, Alipur in which they looted SUPARI 7 times and Maruti Tyre Rims once. The mobile phone looted in the incident dated 22.4.08 in Libaspur was also recovered from them apart from part recoveries of Plastic grains, Maruti Tyre Rims. They also looted a godown situated in Shahabad area twice in which they looted 23 Truck tyres and 3 Ton Supari respectively, within the same month.

They have also confessed their involvement in about 30 such cases in which they have robbed different articles amounting in crores of rupees. On their instance the Police team arrested one Ravi aged 20 years s/o Ishwar Singh r/o Burari, Delhi, receiver of looted/robbed articles.

From the verification process only 4 cases have been linked with the registered cases. Efforts are being made to connect other cases also and to arrest the remaining members of gang and recover the case properties. Concerned police stations have been informed. Further investigation is underway.

DELHI TRAFFIC POLICE DATED 14.5.2008

DLF Indian Premier League (DLF-IPL) Twenty-20 Match between Delhi Daredevils and Deccan Chargers (Hyderabad) will be organized at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground on May, 15, 2008 from 1900 hours onwards.

PARKING SCHEME FOR SPECTATORS

1.  FOR LABELLED VEHICLES :- Arrangements for parking of labelled vehicles have been made at Feroz Shah Kotla Grounds and entry is through Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg only.

2. FOR UNLABELLED VEHICLES :- The unlabelled vehicles shall not be allowed near Ferozshah Kotla Ground. The unlabelled vehicles of the spectators shall be parked at under mentioned locations where “Park & Ride” scheme has been made available. Free bus ride has been arranged from Parking Lots to Feroz Shah Kotla Grounds and back from Feroz Shah Kotla Grounds to following parking lots:-

(1) Mata Sundri College Complex,

(2) Ramlila Ground

(3) MCD Parking at Asaf Ali Road

(4) Velodrome Road near I.G. Stadium.

RESTRICTION BETWEEN 1830 HOURS TO 2230 HOURS FOR GENERAL TRAFFIC

General public is advised to avoid under mentioned roads between 1830 hours and 2330 hours:-

(1)  Raj Ghat to J.L.N. Marg

(2)  J.L.N. Marg from R/A Kamla Market to Raj Ghat

DIVERSION FOR BUSES/DTC BUSES BETWEEN 1830 HOURS TO 2330 HOURS

Buses shall not ply on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg between 1830 hours to 2100 hours and 2200 hours to 2330 hours. The diversion for the buses shall be made from:-

(1) Mathura Road - Bhairon Road

(2) Delhi Gate

(3) BSZ Marg – I.P. Marg (Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk)

(4) R/A PS Kamla Market

·  Interstate buses shall not be allowed between ISBT and Nizamuddin Bridge. These buses shall take either the route towards Marginal Bund Road (Pushta) from ISBT and Sarai Kale Khan.

·  No Commercial vehicle (Chartered buses, Delivery Vans, LGVs) shall take turn on JLN Marg from Ring Road.

Elaborate traffic arrangements have been made to guide the public / road users. Public is advised to use Metro to reach Ferozshah Kotla Ground. They are further advised in their own interest to follow the directions of traffic police on duty.

A team of Special Staff/NWD has arrested four snatchers namely (1) Deepak @ Tinni s/o Dhani Ram r/o B/656 Sector-1 Rohini, Avantika, Delhi, (2) Sunil Jain @ Gaurav Jain s/o Ishwar Chand Jain r/o C-4/123 Sector-5, Rohini, Delhi (3) Naveen @ Gujji s/o Ram Babu r/o RZ/334 Mangol Pur Khurd, Delhi and (4) Ravi Chawla s/o Kashi Ram Chawla r/o C-6/115 Sector-5, Rohini Delhi and recovered 2 snatched gold chains from their possession and 9 cases of snatching have been worked out with their arrest.

On 13.5.08, a team comprising of SI Satya Prakash, HC Ashok Kumar No. 415/NW, HC Jai Prakash, No. 1409/NW, HC Mukesh Kumar No. 13029/DAP, Ct. Satyawan 2754/NW, Ct. Rajender 1688/NW and ASI (DVR) Gurudayal of Special Staff/NWD led by Inspr. M.S. Malik, I/C Special Staff under the close supervision of Sh. Chandra Has, ACP/Operations/NWD was received a secret information about four notorious snatchers would come on two M/cycles near Garg Plaza sector-11 Rohini for disposal of snatched gold chains. On this information staff conducted a raid at Garg Plaza, Sector-11 Rohini, Delhi and apprehended the above said accused persons with 2 snatched gold chains and arrested them vide DD No. 44B dt. 13.5.08 u/s 41.1 (D) Cr.P.C. PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi.

During interrogation accused disclosed that they used to snatch gold chains on their M/Cycles No.DL-8S-AK-7503 (Bajaj Platina) and DL-4S-AY-3693 (Bajaj Discover) and disposed off the same to different persons through their link. They also disclosed that they have committed a series of incidents of snatching in the area of North-West and Outer Distt., Delhi during the last 6-7 months.

CONTRACT CRIMINAL HIRED TO THROW ACID – ARRESTED

With the arrest of three persons namely (i) Raju @ Shatru a known criminal of Dabri (ii) Badruddin Khan a B.A.M.S. Doctor of Dabri and (iii) Ms. Jaya r/o Dwarka and Gurgaon, South West Distt. has worked out a sensational case in which a married lady namely Jaya hired a known criminal of PS Dabri namely Raju @ Shatru who threw acid on the face of her Ex-driver Deepak.

On 22.4.2008 at 5.15 AM an information was received at P.S. Dabri that one Deepak s/o Vinod Kumar age 29 yrs. r/o Pintoo Park, Delhi Cantt has been got admitted to DDU Hospital with acid burns from D.D.A. Park Mahavir Enclave, Dabri. The injured was unfit for statement hence a case vide FIR No. 225/2008 dt. 22.4.2008 u/s 326/IPC, was registered at P.S. Dabri and investigation was taken up under the supervision of Sh. Parkash Khera, SHO Dabri. Later Sections 307, 120-B IPC were added.

During the course of investigation, it was revealed that Deepak Kumar had worked as a driver with Ms. Jaya whose husband is an NRI and settled in USA. As her husband visits only once or twice a year, the lady had become quite dependent on Deepak Kumar. In Sept./Oct. Deepak Kumar left his job and bought a taxi which he used to drive himself. Later on in November, 2007 he got engaged with one Bhawna. Soon after his engagement he was beaten by some unknown assailants who threatened him not to marry with Bhawna. Deepak however did not pay any heed and got married in December, 2007. Soon after he started receiving threatening calls whereby the caller used to threaten him to leave his wife Bhawna or he would be attacked again. Deepak did not take these calls seriously. Finally on 22.4.08 acid was thrown on him.
