60.5 - Definitions.

Identification Card or Document

FSM 7130 requires that operators of Government vehicles/equipment have in their possession an identification card which indicates the types of vehicles an operator is authorized to drive. A valid State driver's license is an acceptable substitute for a Government issued identification card for operators of Government-owned or -leased vehicles under 10,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). Exceptions to this are specialized equipment as defined in FSH 7109.19-60.5, and Commercial Motor Vehicles as defined in FSH 7109.19-60.5 and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 383(49 CFR Part 383); such equipment require special licenses.

Immediate supervisors must evaluate their employee's operating performance within 30 days of hiring and, as a minimum, every 4 years thereafter (FSH 7109.19-64.1).

63 - TESTING.

63.1 - Operating (Road) Test. The following written examinations and performance check sheets are available for initial qualification of operators:
