12 – Eligibility and Qualification Requirements for Permits with Term Status.

12.21 Base Property.

The following standards for base property (commensurability) will apply on the Coconino National Forest.

1.  Cattle and Sheep Operations

The permittee will be required to own, in fee, improved ranch headquarters property of at least 10 contiguous acres. A ranch headquarters is defined as a livestock operating base located within, adjacent to, or otherwise reasonably accessible to the area being grazed thereby providing a logical, efficient base for handling livestock. It must have adequate and suitable facilities, such as water, corrals and fences, which are properly maintained and used to handle the livestock operation. Portable corrals and portable water can be approved on a case-by-case basis.

12.31 – Upper Limits.

The following are the upper limits for term grazing permits on the Coconino National Forest.
