From the desk of LionKevin Steinke, President:

This year has flown by…seems like Start of Summer just happened a few months ago, and here it is just a week away on June 9th-10th! The beer tent is our largest annual fundraiser and I hope each and every Lion will find a way to contribute to its’ continued success next week! Thanks to ALL of the Rockford Lions Club members. Your hearts and work ethic are amazing - I’ve been honored to be your president – Lions is 100 years young and going stronger than ever! As a Club we continued to expand our fundraising, this year by adding the Harvest Fest Beer Tent – and at the same time Lion’s International added yet another focus in Diabetes prevention. The bar is continually rising and I’m confident we can also rise to that fundraising challenge.

I’m very proud to say I am a Rockford Lion. Keep up the amazing work, and I’ll see you all soon!

Start of Summer Weekend:There will be a barricade on the corner of Courtland and Main and a reminder that you are notto drive through this barricade. However, if you are delivering products to the beverage tent then you will be allowed to drive through. Please be respectful of the SOS committee and the City of Rockford.

Saturday’s parade starts at 11am. Our parade number is42and we will line up by 10:30am. Bring water if needed and wear comfortable shoes. Beads are to be tossed by the walkers only underhandtowards the curb and not tossed from the truck and/or float.

Your 2017-2018 annual dues are payable prior to June 30th. Please mail your check to Rockford Lions Club, PO Box 385, Rockford, MI 49341. Thank you.
