1. Situation. Navy Reserve Medicine is constantly evolving as the mission of our Active Duty counterparts adjusts to ever changing global threats. The Navy Reserve Dental Corps is no exception and after 16 years of an extremely high OPTEMPO it is time for us to come together,

planfor the future,rebuild relationships and redefine our mission and place in Navy Reserve Medicine.

2. Mission. Designated Officers of the Reserve Dental Corps and Senior Enlisted Leaders will meet at the USO Warrior and Conference Center on the campus of WRNMMC, 15-17 September 2017. The primary objective of the conference is to discuss and set strategic objectives and goals for the Navy Reserve Dental Corps.

3. Execution

  1. Reserve Dental Corps Leadership Intent

(1)Only personnel listed in enclosure (1) are authorized to attend this training

evolution.

(2)Attendees will assistin developing strategies and goalsfor the Navy Reserve

Dental Corps and become familiar with the Surgeon Generals Strategic Priorities and the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) strategy of Design for Maritime Superiority during this evolution.

(3)Attendees will receive formal lectures which are eligible forADA accredited

continuing education credits.

b. Concept of Operations

(1)Phase I: Arrival at WRNMMC. Attendees will utilize DTS to arrange their travel to

Ronald Reagan National Airport(DCA) and utilize the DC Metro from DCA to WRNMMC.Enclosure (2) providesdetailed DC Metro instructions and enclosure (3) provides a detailed DC Metro map. All personnel should arrive WRNMMC NLT 2300 Thursday 14 September 2017. All members are directed to utilize Navy Gateway Inn and Suites;4520 Taylor Road, Building 64, Bethesda, MD 20889. A block of rooms has been set aside and attendees must call (877)NAVY BED and provide them with the group block number 31520100093 to make their own reservation. The room block will be held until 30 August 2017. Enclosure (4) provides a detailed map and shuttle schedule for WRNMMC. Rental cars are not authorized.

(2) Phase II: Training. The meeting will be held in the Conference Room at the USO Warrior and Conference Center, 4565 Taylor Road,Building 83, WRNMMC. The USO is a short walk from the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites. Registration will begin at 0730 and the conference will begin promptly at 0800 on 15 September 2017.

(3) Phase III: Evening Social. A social will be heldthe evening of 15 September 2017 at the Visiting Flag Quarters, Washington Navy Yard. Transportation to and from the Navy Yard will be via DC Metro. It is approxiamately a 10 minute walk from the Navy Yard Metro station to the Navy Yard. Enclosure (5) provides step by step detailed instructions. Upon return from the Navy Yard via DC Metro we will need to walk back to the Navy Gateway Inns and Suitesfrom the Medical Center Metro stop as the WRNMMC shuttle service ends at 1830.

(4) Phase IV: Departure. Theconferencewill conclude at 1200 on 17 September 2017. Book your return flights NET 1500.

4. Administration and Logistics

a. Administration

(1) ADT-CME. All personnel are directed to utilize ADT-CME funding for NROWS orders.

(2) Local Travel. Only local personnel are authorized use of POV to the conference site. All others must utilize public transportation as rental cars are not authorized.

b. Logistics

(1) Uniform. Uniform of the Day is Khakis.

(2) Meals. A contintental breakfast will be provided the mornings of 15, 16 and 17 September 2017 and box luncheson 15 and 16 September 2017 due to limited eating venues aboard WRNMMC. There will be a required fee to cover the costs which per diem will cover.
