The Hinduisation of the Catholic Church in pictures

The Nuncio is flanked by the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore and the Bishop of Coimbatore.
By viewing separately the foreground portion of the photograph one would never guess that it was taken at a Catholic church function. The kalasams (earthen pots) and coconuts smeared with sandalwood paste and red kumkum powder are decidedly Hindu, not Indian. It is claimed by the New Indian Express reporter that this is a "traditional" welcome, but in a land that is known for its diverse cultures, the above depicted ceremony is conducted exclusively by Hindus in South India, not by the other minority group, the Muslims.
Why is it that anything that is claimed to be "Indian" or "traditional" is invariably of the HINDU religion?

The photograph was taken at a function that was held after Holy Mass at St. Bede’s School ground, San Thome to welcome the new Archbishop of the Madras-Mylapore diocese, Most Rev. George Antonysamy and to say adieu to the outgoing Archbishop Rev. Dr. A.M. Chinnappa.
The following picture is of a Bharatanatyam dance performance at the same programme.
There is almost no parish celebration in the dioceses of Tamil Nadu without Bharatanatyam.
Bharatanatyam dance is indisputably a Hindu temple dance.

It was taken by a Jesuit brother (from the Sathya Nilayam philosophate) who is her Sunday School organizer at the air-conditioned auditorium of the National Shrine Cathedral Basilica of St. Thomas, Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore on March 13, 2013. The occasion was the closing of the annual school at which I was one of the teachers. He, 3 other Jesuit brothers and all the catechism teachers applauded the performance.

Page 1608 of the “contextualized” 2008 NCB has an illustration of a “dancing”, crucified but cross-less Jesus provided by Fr. Christopher Coelho OFM. It is supposed to illustrate “The Lord, your God, is in your midst … he will dance with songs of joy for you, as one does on a day of festival”, Zephaniah 3:17.
Fr. Christopher Coelho OFM’s “dancing”, crucified crucifix-less Jesus bears an uncanny resemblance to depictions of the Hindu deity Nataraja, the “Lord of the dance”:

The NCB dancing, crucified, crucifix-less Jesus is not a one off thing. Here below left, is a similar illustration of “Jesus” from the CBCI’s National Biblical, Catechetical and Liturgical Centre (NBCLC)’s “God With Us” series of catechism books for children, 1977 to 1981, with the Imprimatur of the Archbishop Chairman of the CBCI Commission for Catechetics. To the right is the now-ex-SVD priest Fr. Francis Barboza performing Bharatanatyam dancing in the Nataraja pose. Nataraja is the dancing aspect of the Hindu deity Shiva.

The picture on the previous page was published in the Herald, Goa, on September 9, 2014.

The St. Pius X College, Goregaon (East), Mumbai, is the Bombay archdiocesan seminary greets the citizens of Mumbai on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The rector of the seminary is Auxiliary Bishop Agnelo Gracias who is also Professor of Systematic Theology. As Fr. Agnelo Gracias, he was rector from 1985 to 1993.
