Classroom News - ECFC

From Ms. Deb and Ms. Kim, Ms. Wanda PM.

September 8, 2016

Books read this week, “Pete the Cat and the New Guy,” “Pete the Cat, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” and re-read “Pete the Cat, I Love my White Shoes.”

Our letter for the week is Mm. We are learning the sound it makes, words such as Mom, money, milk, mailbox, motorcycle, Madison, monkey, mad. Look for Mm words at home too.

Thank you for being patient with buses this week. It’s a new experience for many and it takes a few days to get all the bugs worked out.

Please remember to return your child’s homework folder on Mondays!!

In small groups, we made an AB pattern using a blue cat (Pete) and a button cutout. We worked on making a pattern, cat, button, cat, button, cat, button. These cutouts had your child’s letters on and we spelled out our names. We are working on the letters in our names too.

If you have not sent in extra clothes to keep at school, please do so soon.

With the heat this week, we stayed in the afternoons and drank plenty of water!!

We are continuing to work on routines and expectations at school. Knowing what to do and how decreases many behaviors. Teaching expectations at home is important too!

Mark your calendars for September, 29 – Open house at school in the evening. More info will come home later, but your child will want to show you their room!

If you should need to reach me, always feel free to stop by school, call and leave a message, or my email address is
