1. I respectfully request assignment to Raider Company and change of status from Navy-OptionCollege Program to Marine-OptionCollege Program Midshipman.
2. I understand thatfailure to meet Navy Option requirements will preclude eligibility for a Navy Option Scholarship. These requirements include but are not limited to:
a. Completing 2 semesters of Calculus by the end of my Sophomore year. (MATH 1016/2015 or MATH 1205/1206)
b. Completing 2 semesters of Calculus-based Physics by the end of my Junior year. (PHYS 2305/2306)
c. Continuing to perform and pass each official semester Navy PFA.
d. Remaining current with all Naval Science classes required of a Navy-Option Midshipman.
I further understand that if I fail to earn a Marine-Option Scholarship, failure to meet the above-listed stipulations will also prevent me from qualifying for a Navy-Option Scholarship.
3. I am currently a College Program Navy-Option Midshipman with a 2.67 cumulative GPA. If this request is granted, I understand that I will be permanently assigned to Raider Company of the Virginia Tech Naval ROTC Battalion. I further understand the following stipulations:
a. That I will be placed on Academic Probation through the next full semester to assess my academic commitment and potential for success as a Marine-OptionMidshipman.
b. That I will be held to the same academic and physical standards of a Marine-Option Scholarship Midshipman while assigned to Raider Company, even as a Marine-Option College Program Midshipman.
c. That failure to meet the conditions of my Academic Probation may result in a Performance Review Board, which will further result in either a return to Navy-Option status and reassignment to a Navy Company in the NROTC Battalion (provided I meet all the Navy Option requirements in paragraph (2)), or disenrollment from the Naval ROTC.
