SUBJECT:Siren Warning
Shelby County Schools continues to partner with the Office of Emergency Management the Outdoor Siren Warning Check program. The partnership enables EMA to keep this life saving device operating. The siren warning check takes place every Wednesday at 3:30 pm.
Please take the time to review this material. This year we are asking that the building engineer at each school be the lead person to report information about the outdoor siren warning. Also, assign two (2) additional designees to carry out this task just in case someone is absent. Each person,including the principal must e-mail their name, school, telephone number, and e-mail address to EMA using the attached form. When the siren sounds on Wednesday at 3:30 pm,the building engineershould e-mail the following results by 9:00 am the following Thursday morning:
- Report if the siren sounds
- Visually report if the siren rotates
