RE:Field Placement Process for Academic Year 2016/2017

Welcome to the Field Education Program. The program of study you have selected requires you to enroll in a field practicum this fall. Your field practicum is an incredible opportunity to merge classroom knowledge with “real world” field experiences. My colleague, Annie Monnig-Reid and I are thrilled to have an opportunity to work with you in shaping the “practice” experience of your academic career.

Finding an appropriate placement site for your practicum is a complex and competitive process that requires your close attention to the detailed instructions below. Please visit the field website for access to the forms referenced below and other helpful resources like “Field Fair Tips” at (Scroll to the bottom and click on the appropriate student group).

Please do not contact any agencies about field placement. Ms. Monnig-Reid and I facilitate all contacts with agencies until you have been successfully placed. Finally, it is important to note that failure to comply with these and future instructions may prevent you from obtaining a field practicum placement.
