I am happy to report to the entire college community that the first meeting of the Budget & Resource Committee created by President Ray Di Pasquale took place on Monday, April 11, 2006.
President Di Pasquale charged the Committee and various administrative issues were also discussed. It is my intention and that of the Committee to keep the entire college community informed on an on-going basis.
In order to accomplish this openness and full disclosure policy, we will implement the following:
1. A website will be established to allow all members of the college community the opportunity to
stay informed and email us with any comments, observations, suggestions and/or questions.
2. Open all meetings to the college community and announce in advance the location and times of
the meetings.
3. Report Minutes of all meetings in an Executive Summary fashion to all members of the college community.
The above can be enhanced as we move along with the process. It is the intention of the Committee to put a positive spin on some very difficult issues and ultimately recommend policies that will enhance our mission for the benefit of our ultimate consumer—Our Students!!
This is a very positive and challenging initiative, and wonderful opportunity that our President has provided us with.

Please feel free to contact any of the Committee members. Our next meeting will be held in at the Knight campus on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. and I would like to take this opportunity to invite you all to attend. Please RSVP by May 1, 2006, to Jean Potvin, so that we will be sure to reserve a room large enough to accommodate all who wish to attend. At this meeting, Ruth Barrington, an ex-officio member of the Committee, will discuss and explain the college budget process. We look forward to seeing you!
