How about these:
ENGL 4380 Special Topics in African/African Diaspora Literature
EGNL 6420 Studies in Asian American Literature
ENGL 6450 Studies in Fourth World Literature
ENGL 6460 Studies in African American Literature (formerly 5360)
Please note that I have changed Fourth World Lit. from 6355 to 6450; please take 6355 off the books for us for now. We were originally trying to keep all the multicultural courses in the 6300 sequence, but since that didn't work and we had to move the others into the 6400s anyway, we would rather have Fourth World Lit. with those. Is that okay?
Thank you,

Hi Dr. Arnold-
Upon checking the availability of these five course numbers, I found that only two of them are available:
ENGL 3280 African Literature
ENGL 6355 Studies in Fourth World Literatures
The rest of the course numbers have been used for the following courses:
ENGL 4370 American Literature & Environment (This class was requested on 9/19/06, but has not been approved as of yet.)
ENGL 6310 Modern American Novel
ENGL 6320 Modern British Novel
I will go ahead and enter ENGL 3280 & 6355 into both Banner and MVS as pending courses. If you would like to forward me alternate course numbers for the remaining three, I'll gladly check on them. Once all have been entered, I'll e-mail a Registrar confirmation for all of the course number requests.
Thanks for everything, and stay warm!

Subject: Change in Asian Lit course number
Dear Marc,
At our Executive Committee meeting, it was suggested that we request a different number for our new Asian Literature course proposal. We had asked for 3620 (which had been Oriental Lit—banked). Could we use English 3290 instead?
Thanks,
Rick Taylor

Faye,
As I mentioned on the phone, we’d like to renumber English 5500 at the 3000 level. Could we use English 3700 as the new number?
Thanks,
