Montcalm County Central Dispatch Authority is accepting resumes and applications for one (2) Shift Supervisor positions:

Employment Qualifications

Education: High School graduation or equivalent. Basic LEIN training or completion within twelve (12) months. 24 hour EMD training or completion within twelve (12) months.

Experience: Five (5) years dispatch experience demonstrating the ability to maintain confidentiality and loyalty while conducting themselves in an honorable and professional manner. The ability to communicate and work with other departments and agencies helping to promote positive communication and relationships while maintaining the professional integrity of the center. Job requires knowledge normally acquired from specialized training such as offered in community college, technical or business school programs. Areas of study would typically include subjects of law enforcement, computer operations, office systems and employee supervision.

Other Requirements: Willingness and capability to work nights, weekends, holidays, required overtime, and be available for last minute call in. Possess a valid Michigan operator’s license with satisfactory driving record. Must pass an extensive background investigation. Must pass a computerized skills test, Oral Board (interview), and Medical Exam.

Desirable Attributes: Demonstrated skill with Windows operating systems, or other comparable software applications. Experience with Superion (OSSI) CAD and RMS applications. Experience and knowledge of the Motorola 7500 consoles, MPSCS/NCC rules and reporting issues, knowledge of 800 MHz and VHF radios and procedures. Ability to effectively direct and if necessary correct subordinate employees. Willingness to learn the various technical aspects of dispatch operating systems as well as trouble shooting. Possess strong leadership skills.

Wages: 22.89/Hour with a $0.25/hour differential for working a midnight shift.
