Job Title / Finance & HR Assistant
Purpose Statement / The successful candidate will split their time between working in finance and HR functions.
Finance: Responsibilities include providing support in the following areas as required:
Capital & Inventory Analysis
Accounts payable & payroll
Audit Preparation
General Accounting
HR: Provides administrative support to the Human Resources (HR) department in one or more of the following areas: compensation, personnel information, recruiting, employee education and development, benefits, reception, occupational health, employee relations.
Work is generally of critical/confidential nature.
Key Responsibilities / Finance:
·  Generate and file required documentation to support accurate financial and accounting records.
·  Perform reconciliation of accounting data as directed.
·  Communicate with internal/external customers if needed to gather/provide required information as directed.
·  Process and verify transactions following corresponding procedures.
·  Perform data entry into the system (e.g. SAP).
·  Assist other areas of finance as assigned by supervisor.
·  Perform special projects as required.
HR:
·  Maintains and updates employee data in appropriate manual or electronic systems.
·  Provides on-site reception service maintaining a high standard of customer care.
·  Inputs, maintains, trouble-shoots and audits confidential data related to employee relations, training, personnel, compensation and benefits, medical records.
·  Develops, maintains and provides reports, including metrics reports related to Human Resources.
·  Composes and types interoffice communications, such as memos, e-mails, reports, graphics, headcount, organizational charts, and presentations.
·  Co-ordinates and/or assists with employee events.
·  Schedules meetings as required.
·  Completes filing of documents and maintains filing system following appropriate guidelines.
·  Maintain confidentiality of information regarding customers and employees at all times
Job Skills & Education Requirements / ·  PC literate – word, excel, powerpoint
·  Good interpersonal and organisational skills
·  Ability to work on own initiative and to meet targets and deadlines
·  Problem solving capability
·  Good level of attention to detail
·  Maintains confidentiality in handling sensitive information or documents.
·  Numeric reasoning would be of benefit
·  NFQ Level 6 in Business Studies or related discipline
