New Selector

1.  What motor companies were included in this year’s fleet negotiation?

A request for proposal was sent to Chrysler, GM, Ford, Honda, Nissan Subaru and Toyota with key fleet negotiation strategies of safety, cargo capacity, life cycle cost, MPG and Co2 emissions. From the extensive analysis, Ford offered the most value while meeting all the fleet strategies.

2.  Why is Kellogg moving to a front wheel drive, 4-cylinder vehicle?

To reduce fuel costs and Co2 emissions, which are two key fleet strategies. By selecting the Ford Fusion, the MPG will increase by 10 miles, while the Co2 emissions will reduce by 34%. The Ford Escape MPG will increase by 6 miles, while the Co2 emissions will reduce by 27%.

3.  I need a vehicle that can handle snowy conditions; will the new selector meet my territory needs?

Front wheel drive, all season tires should meet the needs for the majority of our drivers. However, if you need snow tires, please contact ARI as they maintain specific snow tire / chain requirements by county. Exceptions will be manager approved.

4.  Why was the minivan removed from the selector?

The minivan costs more to operate, has a lower resale value and MPG. Many motor companies have discontinued production of the minivan based on the declining retail demand.

5.  The Ford Escape front wheel drive / 4-cylinder vehicle was on the selector a few years ago and the major concern was the acceleration. What changes have been made with the 2009 Ford Escape FWD / 4-cylinder vehicle?

Over the last few years, Ford has increase the size, horsepower and torque in the 4-cylinder, I4 engine which has enhanced performance of this vehicle.

6.  I need a vehicle that has storage capacity to carry POP and samples. What is the storage capacity of the Ford vehicles offered?

Due to business needs, Morning Foods Retail Sales Representatives will be given the Ford Escape. The Escape has 2 cubic foot more storage than the Jeep Liberty. The Fusion sedan has a rear seat that folds flat with 15.8 cubic foot trunk vs. the Chrysler Sebring 13.6 cubic foot trunk.
