French 2 Final project/French Presentations

Objectives: ConnectionsStandard 3.1:Students reinforce and further their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreign language. Communication:Standard 1.1:Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions Standard 1.2:Students understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics Standard 1.3:Students present information, concepts, and ideas to an audience of listeners or readers on a variety of topics.

As we come to the close of the year, we are going to present what we have learned. This time there will be a choice of presenting in class or preparing a video or making a review book. Either option is acceptable but you must be prepared to show your video or present on the precise days. No excuses. AP testers or those with preplanned absences need to prepare accordingly. Zeros will be given for those who are not prepared. Please see Mrs. Mac if problems arise. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE!

For a list of possible topics, please consult the other handout. If you choose the Review Booklet option, that is created independently.

Step 1: Brainstorm your ideas. What do you want to present? What do you want your video to be about? Do you work best independently or with a group? Possible topics and themes will be assigned by Madame Mac. We don’t want 60 of the same projects. Your project proposal with parent signature be due by Thursday, April 21st, 2016.Groups will be approved by Mme. Mac. 25 points

Step 2: Outline your project and come up with a script, rough draft or concept map. This should be very detailed and include the all the major components of your video presentation. Due date: April 29, 2016. 25 points. If you are doing a booklet, the major pages should be outlined.

Step 3: Record your video. Most smartphones today have video cameras and Wi-Fi accessibility that allow you to post videos to YouTube. It is preferred that you edit the video together in a creative professional looking way. Then you will email the link to the video or presentation to Due date: May 6th, 201625 points

Step 4: Present your projects to the class: On your block day May 12th, you will present your uploaded video. No ifs, buts or my computer broke excuses will be accepted. Your parents will not be able to email me and tell me you had a month and a half to do this project and you refused. Just do you work by the deadlines! NO EXCUSES! IF YOU FAIL TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT, YOU WILL LIKELY RESULT FAIL THE QUARTER. Book project people will present one page from their books.

MON ALBUM DE FRANÇAIS ~ NIVEAU 2

Your end project is to showcase the things you have learned in French class this semester (or this year). The final product will be a booklet, scrapbook of all that you have learned in class. Each page is a new topic. The following should be in your project and you will be graded according to the presence and accuracy of each:

  1. 16 pages, each depicting something you have learned in French class this year. This can be demonstrated either in a story form or as separate functions or vocabulary learned.
  2. The first page should introduce and describe yourself
  3. An appropriate greeting:
  4. Your name: Je m’appelle ______.
  5. Where you come from: Je viens de ______.
  6. Where you live: J’habite à ______.
  7. Your age: J’ai ______ans.
  8. Each page should have at least one visual.
  9. French should appear on each page and should be accurate in the following areas:
  10. Sentence structure (Use full sentences and examples of each concept)
  11. Spelling and punctuation conventions
  12. Correct word choice
  13. Function – including correct expressions i.e. J’ai quinze ans Not Je suis quinze!
