A program is attached outlining the structure of the conference. This structure has proved to provide the correct mix of both ‘hands-on’ and management issues crucial to the understanding of exports and export risk management.
The event is ideally suited to both the management team and the operations/sales teams or individuals of any active export company or any company wishing to enter the export arena or stay abreast of current trends, opportunities and risks.
The conference fees include a comprehensive electronic set of each speaker’s presentation material, plus additional material the speakers issue at the time and other event documentation, all of which provides a valuable resource. In addition, each delegate is issued with:
- An authorised copy of the English text of Incoterms 2000
- The latest Incoterms 2000 and Export VAT encapsulated wall charts
- A copy of the special edition Trade Questions and Answers and Trading Words and Phrases worth R1254,00
Each day begins with an optional breakfast, where the delegates may network. The programme begins at 08h45 on the first day and at 08h15 sharp for the remainder of the conference. Each day ends at 15h30 (14h30 on the last day).
Your investment covers, breakfast, lunch, parking and writing materials as well as a personal, framed Certificate of Participation. Booking is limited and confirmation of booking is only guaranteed on payment. Bookings for the Export Conference are now open and may be made through Freight Training. Please advise if you require assistance with hotel accommodation. A booking form can be found at the end of this document and a proforma invoice will be faxed to you on receipt of your completed form.
Standard Bank has sponsored the first 90 seats booked and paid for by the 15th July by R4446.00 each. This is a total investment of R400,140.00. They would not have done this if they did not see the value. The Conference is limited to 160 delegates and more than 1150 people have attended to date.

We value your support but regretfully we have experienced great difficulty in getting paid for our work in the past. It has been our experience that companies often assume credit privileges without justification and they further often abuse such credit privileges. While this may not be applicable to your company – and if it is not, we thank you for your adherence to good business practices – the actions of others have had a negative impact on the running of our company and the cost of the courses we provide.
Accordingly, we must ask that you read the following and adhere to the conditions contained herein.
- All bookings are provisional until paid for in full
- The EXPORT RISK MANAGEMENT conference is run on a first-come-first served basis and bookings are only confirmed on payment. Note that only limited seats are available.

- No cancellations will be refunded after 1st August, however substitutes are permitted. Note that substitutes not advised to us in writing 15 working days prior to the conference may still attend but will not be provided with the framed certificate of attendance.
- Cancellations made prior to the cut-off will be subject to a R450 deductible administration fee.
- Substitutions requested prior to the 15-day cut off will be accommodated at no extra charge.
- Please ensure the accuracy of the information you provided to us. Certificates will be made in the company name and delegate name as indicated on the appropriate form, which will be sent to you once payment is received. Duplicate copies or corrections will be charged for at R375.00 per certificate.
