Steps Involved in making windows Vista system as client computer for FOIS

Login as Administrator (if available) to do the FOIS Setup and start from step 2 else perform step 1 and continue.

1.To enable the build-in Administrator account, follow these steps:

i. Click Start, and then type cmd.exe in the Search option.

ii. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then Click Run as Administrator.

iii. When you are prompted by user Account Control, click Continue.

iv. At the Command prompt, type "net user administrator /active:yes", and then press ENTER.

v. Type exit, and then press ENTER.

vi. Log off the current user account.

vii. Login as Administrator

2.To Change the attribute of Windows folder, follow these steps:

i. Right Click on Start ->Explore

ii. Click Windows. Right Click on it and select property

iii. Click on Read only to remove the read permission of the Windows folder.

iv. Press Apply. When user Account Control prompts you, click Continue.

v. Press OK.

4. Open the FOIS CD and Locate Setup.exe/ Setup File

3.Right Click on the Setup.exe and choose Run as administrator.

(Wait for installation to be completed, ignore any errors)

4.Right Click on the Register.exe and choose Run as administrator.

(Wait for installation to be completed, ignore any errors)

5.To Add the Tuxedo variables in Advanced Computer settings, follow these steps:

i. Right Click on Start ->Explore

ii. Click Computer (Left Side) of screen. Right Click on it and select property

iii. Click Advanced System Setting. When user Account Control prompts you, click Continue.

iv. Click on Environment Variables.

v. Click on Lower "New" Button of System Variables.

vi. Type/Copy and Paste first Variable name and its value separately as given below. Press OK.

vii. Repeat step V and vi for the rest of the variables given in the following list.

6.Click OK to apply after adding all variables as Environment Varaible.

Now log off and login as a administrator/user to run the applications of FOIS on vista system.
