Last Summer Holidays I didn’t do much. I wish I could afford a trip to England or Greece but I can’t, so I stayed at home and watched my favourite TV series like “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy”. I also went to the beach with my parents and to the swimming pool with my friends. But sometimes my holidays canbe a bit boring because there’s nothing to do...
In my free time I do the same things other teenagers do. I watch TV, listen to music, read, go to the cinema and study when I need to.Sometimes I watch sport on TV but I don’t practise any kind of sport. My mum thinks I should, but I always answer that she was the one who told me not to do what we see on TV. Besides, I really prefer zapping to football.
I don’t go to the cinema very often but I wish I would because I love watching movies. My favourite actor is Johnny Deep. He has starred in many famous movies like “A Nightmare on Elm Street”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Edward Scissorhands” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. I love him because he’s very funny and he can play a huge variety of roles. My favourite actress is Meryl Streep. She has recently starred in “Mamma Mia” and I think she’s the greatest actress alive. My favourite movie doesn’t have any of my favourite actors but it’s a really good movie. I never thought I would like it when I decided to watch it because it’s in Italian and it’sa bit old, but I really loved it. It’s called “Life is Beautiful” (La vita è bella) and it’s about a man who was taken to a concentration camp with his son. It’s funny and very moving at the same time. I really recommend watching it because it’ll bring tears to your eyes. Another movie I like is “Control” about Ian Curtis’ life. I also love horror and comedy movies.
The only thing I love more than cinema is music. I could survive my whole life with nothing else than my mp3 (and food, of course). I love going to music festivals. There’s nothing better than watching our favourite bands/singers playing right in front of us. My favourite band is Nirvana but I also like Muse, Joy Division, Foo Fighters and many others. I like Portuguese music as well. I’ve seen David Fonseca 4 times and I always go and ask for his autograph after the show. Once he even sang “Happy Birthday” to my father backstage on his 31st birthday.
Being famous must be really cool because you can go anywhere you want to, you can buy anything you wish and everyonerecognizes you. On the other hand it can be very hard, too because you have no privacy at all. You can’t even go to the supermarket without the paparazzi following every step you take. There are many things I wish I could buy but I wouldn’t trade my privacy for any of them. Besides, if I have my mp3, my family and my friends what else do I need?

Well, I live in Évora and I’m a normal kid, with a usual daily routine! It’s a little bit boring but at the weekend I can have all the fun that I don’t have during the week! I live with my mom and sister, and they are very important to me because I can share all my life with them and they give me good advices so that I can lead a good life with no problems. I love my friends and they have a part of my heart too!
I’m going to tell you about a very funny summer holiday that I spent in 2003 with my mom and dad. We decided that we wanted to travel to another country, so we decided to visit the farthest country possible but… money didn’t let our dream come true, so… we went to Spain! AHAHAH We invited some friends of my parents and here we go! Almeria was the city that we wanted to visit. When we got there we stayed at a very good Hotel and finally I had a bed to sleep!
The Hotel was so good that we ended up in the big pool. The beach was so bad that it was good to have a peace and calm environment. But in one of those excellent days my parents woke me up and said that I was going on a train journey with my friends (but I didn’t know anyone!). Well the woman who was taking care of all the children said that we had to sing Spanish songs! Well I was certainly in the wrong train because I didn’t know any of those songs and she started shouting at us when we didn’t know the lyrics! I was very angry with my parents because when I went out of the train I couldn’t hear anything!!!! But in the end these were a very funny summer holidays!
In my free time I love singing or playing the guitar. It’s one of my dreams and I’m seriously thinking about having my own band! I love going to the cinema with my friends or sister! I think it’s a different and nice way to spend my time! There’s a huge screen, it’s more exciting and the sound is awesome!
Well I love musicals but I have to say that my favourite film is “P.S. I love you”. It’s a romance but we can have lots of fun too! The story is about a woman that lost her husband, a very funny man. But one day after he had died, she starts receiving letters that he wrote when he had the news he was going to die! But it’s all very funny and everything ends very well! If you have the chance to watch it, don’t miss it!
My favourite actress is Nicole Kidman. She can perform all types of characters and she is an excellent actress. She’s a very emotional actress and she performs a lot of tragic films, so in the end I usually cry every time I watch one of her films!
I think that being an actor or actress can be very hard because we lose all the privacy we need. The media write all kinds of lies about us and I think that it must be very uncomfortable. On the other hand this job also offers a good life and it’s good to see the fans and listen to all their opinions about our films.
But music is my world! I can’t live without it…
I think that music “steals” all our feelings and sets us free! I don’t know how to explain the feelings I experience every time I listen to a song that I like! It’s amazing! I like different types of music but I listen to Rock, Punk, Heavy Metal, Pop…. I love Amy Lee’s voice. She has the most incredible voice. Evanescence without her weren’t anything!!!! She can make all the notes with the perfection that I have never seen in my life! And she is very pretty, too! I love her dark hair and blue eyes. It’s a beautiful combination. My favourite song is “Freak on a Leash”. It was created by the Korn but they invited Amy lee to sing with them in an acoustic concert and I just loved it!

I love travelling, so every year my parents, brother and I travel around Europe by car. We spend the whole August outside Portugal, somewhere in Europe. But I especially enjoyed the year when we went to Santa Claus’ hometown in the Arctic Circle. In just one day we crossed Spain and we slept in Andorra for two days. Next day we arrived to Germany, more precisely to Hannover. We stayed 2 days there visiting the city. I have a special interest for Central Europe cities because they look so traditional and the architecture is amazing! The next day we left Hannover and we had a meal in Hamburg. After lunch we head to Bilund, the hometown of Lego in Denmark. We stayed in the Lego Hotel for three days, we saw the biggest Legoland in the world and the Lego factory, too. Legoland was amazing and I loved a small city built by Lego, the dragon mountain and the dome racers mountain. Lego factory was huge! They even had an airport!...
After a few Lego moments my family and I went to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. It is an awesome city! We saw the famous Copenhagen Sea and, after two nights there, we put our bags in the car and drove to Sweden and its capital, Stockholm. There we saw their royal palace and we took a walk in the city to relax a little bit. Our Arctic journey continued to the north of Sweden until we crossed the frontier to Finland, in the north of Scandinavia. We slept in Rovaniemi, Santa Claus’ homeland. The temperature was 10 degrees by midday, in the summer, and everybody said it was a hot day!... The next day we went to the Polar Arctic Circle, and we saw Santa’s house, that is officially in the North Pole. The next day we went to Helsinquia, Finland’s capital and we stayed there 2 days. I loved to see the city’s seaside… Later I had the chance to try something new! We put our car into a ferry and crossed the sea between Finland and Sweden. This lasted 13 whole hours!... I loved the experience of sleeping in a ship, a very big ship. The next day we drove to Hamburg. Later we went to Colonia, a nice German city, famous for its cathedral. After a night in Colonia we had lunch in Luxemburg and in the afternoon we went to Bruxels. We slept in Metz, a small French town, and the next day we went to Paris, the capital of France. We visited The Louvre Museum, the Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge… After three days in Paris we went to Pamiers, a small city near the Pyrenees. The next day we came back to Andorra to relax and buy some things we needed. Things in Andorra are cheaper than in Portugal, so we saved a lot of money!... After three days in Andorra we came back to Portugal and the car accounted 71919km!
In my free time I like playing water polo, surfing on the net, watching TV, listening to music and going out with my friends.
I love going to the cinema, but not alone, always with my brother, my family or my group of friends. My favourite types of movies are action and comedy because I love laughing and watching amazing stunts. My favourite movie is “Pirates of the Caribbean 3”, because I love the ship fights, the sword combats and Piratesin general. It’s very funny! My favourite actor is Johnny Depp because he can change very well between 2 different roles. And his movies always have a magic touch.
I love listening to music, too. My favourite types of music are pop, rock, hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and a little bit of punk-rock. At the moment my favourite music artist is Chris Brown, because he can sing very well and he dances very well, too. I like his style!
My opinion about being famous is that they can earn a lot of money, but they have no privacy. It is very hard to become famous and it is even harder to keep that status. So, congratulations to those people who can achieve that!
Hello! My name is Ana Teresa Perdigão and I’m fourteen years old. I’m in year 9. My favourite subjects are English, History and Mathematics. I have got long brown hair and big green eyes, I’m tall and thin. I live at Canaviais, in Évora. I don’t like my school very much because the students are bad and dishonest, but on the other hand all the equipment is good and the teachers teach us very well. They are sincere and comprehensive. The name of my school is EBI/JI da Malagueira.
In the future I would like to be a dentist or a model, because I love fashion! Fashion shows and some of fashion designers’ clothes are great!...
I also love travelling! My best ever trip was when I went to the Canary Islands. I stayed at a colonial-style hotel and we had a complete programwaiting for us:relaxation, excitement and getting fit. We enjoyed an outdoor giant swimming pool and there was a fantastic beach, too. I stayed at the Maspalomas Princess and Tabaiba Princess hotels. They are amazing because they have great activities. I also visited Palmitos Park Maspalomas. It is a natural park with fantastic animals: eagles, parrots, rare species of butterflies and I like it very much. The food was great, too. I enjoyed eating paella and their typical grilled fish. I saw many camels, but I was afraid of them!!! The weather was amazing... It was very hot, so I liked my trip very much.
In my free time I enjoy dancing, too. I just love it! When I dance I set free the bad energies and everythingseems perfect... I also like swimming and chatting with my friends on Windows Live Messenger. Now I’m dedicating myself to a new activity: playing the guitar. I absolutely love it!
In my free time I also like going to the cinemabecause when I go with my friends, we have lots of fun together. I usually buy popcorns and a coke. At the cinema I always feel very excited, because we are in the middle of the dark and in front of us we can only see a big screen. My favourite film is “TheGuardian”The cast is fantastic: Kevin Costnerplays Ben Randall and Ashton Kutcher plays Ficher. Andrew Davis is a great film director. Filled with spectacular rescues in the mortal waters of the Bering Sea, The Guardian is a film that dives into the heart and soul of real heroes, whose slogan is “to that others can live”. My favourite actor is Orlando Bloom. He was born in Canterbury, Kent in England on January 13th,1977. He has starred in many films: “Love and Others Disasters”(2006), “Pirates of Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest”(2006), “Elizabethtown”(2005) and “Haven”, when he plays Shy(2004).
Music is also my passion. I like Hip Hop and Pop very much. My favourite singer is Leona Lewis, because she has an amazing voice and she is a good person. She sings the songs : “Better in time”, “Bleeding love”, “A Moment like this”, and so many others. Her music is great and I love it!
