Dear MGA,
Preventive care is an important part of healthier living and Humana wants to help with early detected of some common health conditions. We have contracted with highly qualified medical service providers to provide members access to an In-Home Health and Well-Being Assessment (HWA) program.
The In-Home Health and Well-Being Assessment program is open to all members and at no additional cost. Even if a member is considered healthy, the benefits to receiving the assessment are tremendous. The assessment offers the following opportunities:
  • Free screenings that could identify unknown health risks
  • Emphasis on documentation and data accuracy to ensure the member’s complete health history is properly recorded
  • Communication with the member’s current doctor and Humana’s clinical programs to provide services necessary to maintain a healthy lifestyle
