Free Concert Features Ed Kowalczyk (formerly of Live), Grouplove and Desoto Jones September 10
Philadelphia, PA, August 31, 2011- Radio 104.5 and State Farm present the fifth and FINAL of its Summer Block Parties at The Piazza at Schmidts on Saturday, September 10, 2011. The Free concert features performances by Ed Kowalczyk (former lead singer of Live), Grouplove, and Desoto Jones.Radio 104.5 Summer Block Parties are at the Piazza monthly through September with a FREE open-air concert series and interactive festival at "the epicenter of the city's new nightlife, culture and cool.” The concerts start at 4:00 PM.
Ed Kowalczyk is the former lead singer and songwriter for the Pennsylvania-based rock band, Live. Kowalczyk released a solo album entitled "Alive" in the summer of 2010. Desoto Jones is an alternative rock band from New Jersey and released their album "Aurora" in 2007 with the help of Deep Elm Records. Grouplove’s debut EP, Mirrors, was released independently in 2010 and is now signed to Atlantic Records.
