FREE CALLTEMPLATE

Welcome to the TAOBC Bonus Module!

This is going to rock your world and we are going to have a lot of fun with this stuff. I’ve created this template as a Word Document so that you can plug your content right into the format and use this to create your own scripts.

You can add written details as needed to create your working script. Just be sure to keep it short enough that you can get to the main content quickly and stay on track and on time.

HOW TO USE THIS TEMPLATE:
  1. From the File menu, choose Save As.
  1. Give the file/document a NEW name before you start making any changes so that you can always come back to this blank template!
  1. Write your content, then delete all of the instructions (purple text)
so the only thing remaining is your new script – ready to use!
  1. Format your new script as needed so that you are ready to read along as you create your content.

You will create your content and plug it into the [bold brackets]in this template.

Let’s get started…

Your welcome + opening

Take a moment to say hello + say your name. This is a nice way to acknowledge listeners.

[Hello! It’s YourName…]

Mention three things or ‘pain points’ from your research + collected feedback

Ex: If you are overwhelmed with the idea of becoming a coach, or not sure how long it will take to transition into coaching or where you will find clients, then you are in the right place.

[If you are 1_____, 2_____, or 3_____, then…]

Let them know you have a solution to share

Today we are going to clear up any questions or concerns you have and move you forward towards what you want instead – (fill that in).

[Today we are going to clear up…and move you towards…]

Intro + Your personal mess-to-success story

Tell a little about yourself, give your mini-story as it relates to them and the call topic + shows that you are an expert in this area. It’s your mini-mess to success story.

[My name is YourName, and if you don’t know me…]

[Mini mess-to-success story…]

Help them get the most out of the call

Give any instructions you’d like them to follow to get the most from your call.

  • Just be present without distractions
  • Have pen and paper to take notes during the call
  • Listen and jot down any questions because we will have time for Q+A

[To get the best out of this workshop/call… have a pen and paper handy OR just be present, OR jot down questions for the Q+A]

Worksheet/materials prompts (optional)

Are your listeners referring to a worksheet during your call? Mention this before you get into the content so they can download what they need.

You will prompt them again later when you get to that stage of the content.

[To get the most from this call/session/program, download and complete the worksheets on this page (or from the email, etc.)…]

Optional Social Media Prompt

If you want them to tweet about it you can create a hashtag or just encourage them to share any gems.

[Optionalinstructions for listeners…]

Centering activity (optional)

If you want to have listeners do an opening activity like getting centered, I suggest that you create a “template” for the activity.

Decide on wording and steps that you can reuse any time you create new content – this helps to create a style or imprint of your brand. Think of this as your signature activity.

[Optional CENTERINGACTIVITY…]

Announce the content

[In this call/workshop you will learn:]

[Bullet 1]

[Bullet 2]

[Bullet 3]

Add some inspiration

If you want to start with a quote, poem or message that is relevant to the content you will share it after you’ve introduced the content.

[Let’s start with a quote from:]

[QUOTE]

Bullet 1: Dive into the content, one bullet at a time

Write out the main content you want to cover in this session/call/whatever.

You can write down only the bullets, or write it out in a longer format if you need to.

Instead of writing a looong script and reading it word-for-word, try to capture just enough bullets and high-level detail that you can glance down and then riff on it.

Announce each bullet to givelisteners a helpful frame of reference during the call.

[Bullet 1 title:]

[Bullet notes, details, etc]

Bullet 2: End the content with a tone that flows into the next bullet

Follow the format you used for Bullet One. This makes creating content easy,
AND establishes a ‘flow’ that helps listeners get the most from your content.

[Bullet 2 title:]

[Bullet notes, details, etc]

Bullet 3: End the content with a tone that flows into the next bullet

[Bullet 3 title:]

[Bullet notes, details, etc]

Tie it up with a bow + recap what they’ve just learned

This is SO important! This step helps listeners remember what they’ve learned and it’s also a great way to reinforce how much value you’ve just shared with them.

You can express how you are feeling, keeping the ENERGY UP, and then move forward. You are human + not a robot. 

[Let’s review what you learned:]

[Bullet 2]

[Bullet 3]

Include a Call to Action

Tell them what you want them to do. Prompt them to download any worksheets if you did not ask them to use it during the content.

[Please download the workbook… ]

If you are offering a Q+A session then give them the instructions they need to raise their hand on the call, or get their question to you.

Be aware of the time and let them know how much time you have for Q+A, and whether or not you will take any additional questions after the call (ex: by email).

[Now I’m going to open up for 15 minutes of Q+A. If you’d like to ask a question please press *6 (whatever your conference service uses) to raise your hand and be placed in the queue… ]

If you are offering free discovery-type session, then tell them what they need to do to claim and schedule their session with you. Do they go to a web page, email you, or message you on FB? Whatever you are using is fine, just be clear to the listener.

[Other Call to Action]

Let them know what to expect next

Will they receive a recording in an email? Be sure to let them know to keep their eyes open for your next email.

If there is a free gift then give them the URL or let them know you will send it out with the recording.

[Next Steps and What to Expect]

Sign off + say goodbye

This is your chance to thank them for spending time with you in whatever way feels good to you.

[Sign off + say goodbye]

YOU DID IT!
