FRAGnStein – Setup Manual

Quick Start Card

The Mouse and the Grip each take one AA battery (not included in the package). Carefully open the battery bays under the Mouse and Grip and insert one battery in each. Remember battery flat sides go to the spring end.

FRAGnStein on PS3

Plug the USB Dongle into one of the front USB ports on the PS3. Press the power button on the top of the Mouse and press the Guide button on the Grip to power up. If you mouse features do not work then while in a game, press and hold the Grip PS button.From that menu change the controller port to 1.

Pressing the Mouse wheel down is your Right Analog Stick Down.

Press and hold the F button and roll the wheel forward to increase the mouse speed.

To decrease speed press and hold the F button and roll the wheel backward.

Note that there are 20 speed adjustments when on the PS3.

To enable the fast tracking feature press and hold the F button then press the Mouse wheel down.

Game Smoothness

For the smoothest game play we recommend you press and hold the F button and roll your mouse wheel back and forth to find the position that the game stops to roll. Gamers call this F0. This is your reference point and will be the smoothest mouse setting.

Roll the wheel forward a couple of clicks to increase your mouse speed. Some games may require different sensitivity adjustments to make your game play as smooth and fast as possible. When you release the F button the setting will be stored in the Mouse memory. Each time you use the Mouse it will reload your sensitivity settings. To make your game play as smooth as possible there are 20 setting adjustments on the PS3.

Rapid Fire

To enable or disable rapid fire, press and hold the F button then press RT (Left Click)

To disable rapid fire first press and hold the F button then press RT (Left Click)

You can adjust the shot repetition in the FRAGnStein configuration software.

FRAGnStein on PC

Plug in the USB Stick into your computer USB port.

The first time you plug the Stick into the port you will notice that MS Windows shows a message on the bottom right corner that says – “Installing New Hardware.” Allow Windows to finish installing your drivers by selecting all the default options. When Windows has finished you will see a message on the bottom right corner that says “Your device is now ready to use.” It may go through several pop-up windows to finish the device installation.

Press the START button on the top of the Mouse and press the PS button on the Grip to power up.

Use the FRAGnStein Config Software to change and set Grip or Mouse buttons to the button layout you want. Most games also allow you to change keyboard hot keys that will be matched on your controller. The Config Software is free and can be found and downloaded from our website at

Default PC button configuration

FRAGnStein Resolution setup

To increase the Mouse resolution press and hold the F button and roll the mouse wheel forward.

To decrease the resolution press and hold the F button and roll the wheel backward.

There are four CPI mouse resolutions to choose from: 400, 800, 1200 and 1600. While you press and hold the F key to adjust the CPI, the mouse led will flash once when set to 400, twice for 800, three times for 1200 and four times for 1600. Press and hold the F button and the mouse light will repeat the flash amounts for setting resolutions. The resolution is stored in memory so it does not need to be set each time you use your controller.

Power Saving

The Mouse or Grip will auto shut off after 8 minutes of no button or mouse movement activity.

When the LED lights on the Mouse or Grip flash fast, it indicates a low battery.

Matching

Each Mouse and Grip can be matched with the USB Stick. The factory does matching however you may need to match them when the following happens to you:

You get a replacement Mouse, Stick or Grip, or, the devices loose their sync together.

Note: You don’t need to match every time you use them.

To match the devices:

a)First press the small button on top of the Stick. A green LED on Stick will flash quickly to indicate it is waiting to be matched.

b)Then within 10 seconds, press the small button on the underside of the Mouse.

A solid LED indicates the Mouse is matched.

c) Press the small button on top of the Stick again. Now press the small button in the Grip battery bay to complete the matching.

If you miss pressing a device button, after 10 seconds the Stick LED returns to normal.


Note: Each time you press the Stick button only one device can be matched so the Mouse and Grip need to be matched in these steps.
