The Town has participated in the California Public Employee’s Retirement System (CalPERS) since 1965 and in the CalPERS Health Plan since 1975. The Town’s contribution toward health insurance for employees, retirees and their dependents is 110% of the average premium cost of the plans available. Currently 20 active employees and 4 retirees are covered. The Town uses a pay-as-you-go approach for retiree health insurance.
