Founded in 1976, the mission of Women in McHenry is to promoteprofessionalism through meeting, mentoring and motivating; to promote growth of our organization, to bring services toother women throughout the county, and promote networking opportunities for our members

Our goal this year is to offer a $1000Challenge Scholarship designed to encourage and recognize women as they grow and evolve. This scholarship is designated for a woman in McHenry County who had her educational experience interrupted or challenged. This scholarship will enable the recipient to attain the skills and tools needed to succeed and provide for a better life. WiM3 fundraises year-round through monthly raffles, donations, and special events (such as our Scholarship Fundraiser) to make this scholarship available.

An application is enclosed for your convenience. Completed forms are due Monday,

April 04th, 2016. Educational plans, financial need, community activities, applicant essay, and outside recommendation are all important considerations in awarding our scholarship. Please note that the Scholarship Committee reserves the right to reallocate or not award a scholarship depending on the extent of qualified applicants. The applicants will be notified by early May 2016 regarding selection.
