TENTATIVE JULY 2009 COHORT SCHEDULE

(July 2009 – January 2011)

The Cohort meets on TUESDAYS for Seminars (5:30-8:30 PM) and Saturdays (9:30 AM-3:00 PM). Summer Institutes are scheduled Mondays-Thursdays for 2 or 3 consecutive days from 9:00 AM -2:30 PM and 3:00-8:30 PM. NJ EXCEL reserves the right to modify cohort schedules as necessary. Instructional Schedules are provided at the beginning of the program, which include specific dates and topics for each session.

*Inquiry Group Meeting Dates

** Total Instructional Hours includes program requirements as follows:

(a)  Inquiry Group Meetings = Total 33 Hours (Groups may meet on other dates and times by consensus of group and E-Mentor.)

(b)  Class Sessions and Summer Institutes = Total 361 Hours (Scheduled weeknights, Saturdays and during summer)

(c) Technology Training = Total 21 Hours (Dates for Tech Skills Sessions TBA and are scheduled throughout the year.)

(d) Online Learning Network(OLN) = Total 15 Hours (Participation in collaborative online learning activities and discussions)

(e) Four Summer Institutes are scheduled for 3 consecutive days each and are repeated during different weeks in June, July and August from 9 am-2:30 pm and 3-8:30 pm. Some Summer Institutes may be held only at NJPSA (e.g. School Law).

NOTE: Field-Based Experiences (including School-Based and Supervisory Internships, job-embedded experiences, and projects) are not included in required instructional hours.
