FII Verticals

Publicity

The Publicity vertical of FII is responsible for creating and sustaining Brand FII in the IIMB community, among colleges and in the corporate world. The main functions of the Publicity (Pub) team are

·  To develop creative material and content, namely posters, brochures, banners, website, Sponsorship and Participation mailers, Press Releases, Media Kit etc.

·  To generate interest for our business fest Vista, speaker series, Colloquium and other FII events round the year

What does the Publicity team look for?

Given the two key functions of this is vertical, we are looking for those who can either work on the Creative side (Material Creation or Content development) or on the Corporate/College Publicity side(developing contacts in companies and other b-schools and ensuring participation).

Sponsorship
Sponsorship team is the interface between the industry, the students at IIM Bangalore and the rest of the FII team. From managing sponsorship relationships as strategic alliances to inviting eminent speakers from the industry, the sponsorship team this year is geared up to take Vista to the next level. We aim to achieve loftier budget for the event, more publicity in the media and enriching student interaction with distinguished speakers and make Vista truly one of the biggest Business School Festival in Asia.

What does the Sponsorship team look for?

And to make it big, the Sponsorship vertical is looking for students who can use their convincing skills to build lasting partnerships with corporate firms and also use their persuasion skills to bring the best speakers for ‘FII - Business Leaders Series’, VISTA and colloquium.

Events

Ideating, conceptualizing and executing the events on the D day is taken care of by the Events team. The events are broadly classified into, flagship events (such as Numero Uno, Bizarre etc.), showcase events (Panel discussion, Media Conclave etc.) and club specific events (taken care of by other clubs such as MASH, ICON etc. ). Events team closely interacts with the Sponsorship team while pitching to the companies. Events could be of two types – one whose content is fixed with companies sponsoring them, and the other where the content is decided by the sponsoring company. Events team also constantly interfaces with the publicity team and logistics team for effective execution of the events. Colloquium Series is another event which invites distinguished speakers from all realms of business to speak on contemporary topics. BT Acumen Quiz is an immensely popular annual event whose South Zone finals are conducted by us, having all India viewership.

What does Events team look for?

People who are adept in conceptualizing new events (includes all the phases through which an event goes through) and adapting to the requirements of the sponsoring companies. People who can ideate an event from scratch and see it through to completion. We also look for people adept in excel tools to create analytical game platforms.

Logistics

The Logistics team can be aptly described as the backbone of the FII team. The four primary activities of Logistics team are:

·  Vendor Management

·  Event Management

·  Procurement

·  Hospitality

During Vista, the team takes up the responsibility to ensure that all the events are organized as per plan without any hassles or interruptions. Logistics also acts as the essential interface between the club and the college admin department. For FII promotional activities, the team has to work closely with the Publicity team to get the posters, banners and other items up and ready.

What does the Logistics team look for?

A strongly committed team player who can, in short, get things done. People handling and negotiation skills are essential in vendor management and also interactions with college officials and even Vista participants. He/she should be cool-headed at all times and work in tandem with other FII Vertical members.
