Academy Director
Job Description
The Academy Director will have overall responsibility for the management of the Forth Valley Football Academy player development programme from age 10 through to age 17.
The Academy Director will have the lead responsibility for the creation and delivery of a detailed Tactical and Technical Development Plan that is consistent with the ethos of the Academy.
In the preparation and implementation of the plan consideration will be given to the Scottish FA National Player Development Plan and also the playing ethos of the participating Clubs. The purpose of the Plan will be to ensure that all players within Forth Valley Football Academy are given coaching and instruction suitable to allow them to fulfil their maximum potential as a footballer.

Duties
1. Player Recruitment
· Participation and final say in all Player Recruitment Applications to join the Forth Valley Football Academy
2. Coaching
· Recruitment and Management of all Academy Coaching Staff in liaison with Head of Coaching
· Ensure that all Coaches undergo regular coach education and that they comply with The Scottish FA Club Academy Scotland Coach Qualifications Criteria
· Design and Implement a detailed Coaching Syllabus and Assessment for all age groups and coaches and ensure implementation by coaching staff.
· Arrange regular Coach In Service Days
· Create close relationship with The Scottish FA Performance School Staff to ensure continuity between School and Academy coaching Curriculum and Syllabus.
· Create close relationship between the Academy and the Scottish FA National Player Development Coaching Staff to ensure continuity of Coaching Philosophy and Ethos.
· Create close relationship with participating Clubs Technical Coaching Staff to ensure continuity between Academy and Club Coaching Philosophy and Ethos.
3. Academy Administration
· Ensure Academy meets CAS criteria on all aspects of the annual CAS Audit
· Ensure that all Coaching Staff comply with all Child Protection procedures and instructions and guidance provided by the Academy Child Protection Officer.
· Ensure that all Academy matches home and away are fully facilitated.
· Ensure that all Academy Coaching Staff are issued with a Code of Conduct and that they adhere to the high standards required.
· Ensure that all Academy Players and Coaches are at all times attired in Official Forth Valley Football Academy Training and Match Day Kit.
· Oversee individual Player Appraisal and Assessment Process and ensure good lines of communication between the Academy, the Player and his family and also his host Club.
4. Additional Duties
· Represent FVFA at SPFL/ SFA Academy/Youth Meetings
· Prepare a monthly Report on Academy Technical Coaching and overall Player Development Programme and present to the Academy Management Board
