Abstract

This document provides authors with guidelines for composition of conference papers for the 10th IFK 2016 in Dresden. The layout of this document is based on the format guidelines for the conference proceedings. You can download this template at the official IFK conference website. For your submissions, please use this file, which contains the official format template. Margins and format templates described in the file will automatically be defined if you use the pre-defined styles. Pre-defined styles always start with the prefixIFK_. No further formatting or inserting of line breaks is necessary in order to stay within the margins.

  1. Guidelines for authors

All papers for the 10th annual IFK are to be submitted in English.

Accepted papers should be uploaded at October5th, 2015 (with review) or by November 30th, 2015, respectively. The login data will be send to you via email by September 2015. We ask that you upload your paper in Word 2007+ format (.docx) and in PDF (.pdf) format. The length of the paper is limited to a maximum of 12 pages. The title of the paper must be identical to the title of the abstract that you submitted for the Call for Papers.

The font style assigned to the text is IFK_bodytext. The font is set to Arial 11 pt and is justified. The template has a line spacing of 1.5 lines and a spacing of 10pt after every paragraph. The header should not be changed. The names of the authors are to be assigned to IFK_author (Arial 11 pt, bold, spacing of 12 pt before the paragraph, spacing of 10 pt after the paragraph). The institution’s name and address should be assigned to IFK_author_info (Arial 10 pt, bold). Please put this information at the top of the first page.

The document is adjusted to A4 format with the following margins: top and bottom 2.5 cm, left and right 3 cm.

1.1.Abstract

Each conference paper should begin with a summary (abstract) containing a maximum of 15 lines. The abstract is followed by a line of keywords in IFK_keywords format (Arial, spacing before 12 pt, spacing after 48 pt).

1.2.Headings

Please number the main headings with consecutive numbers 1,2,3, etc.(IFK_heading1), with sub-headings respectively: 1.1, 1.2, etc.(IFK_heading2) and 1.1.1, 1.1.2, etc. (IFK_heading3). The following spacing is used for the headings: before, 12pt and after, 6 pt. Font size for heading is set to 12pt in bold font type.

1.3.Formulas and Equations

Please clearly label formulas and equations by using a new line. Please enumerate the formulas and equations by consecutive numbers in parentheses on the right side, as you seen in (1).

1.4.Units

Please use metric units only.

1.5.Images and Charts

Please insert images and charts appropriately throughout the text. Do not place them at the very end of the text! Images and Charts should be separated and consecutively numbered with Arabic numerals. In order to be legible in the conference proceedings, the resolution of images should be at least 300dpi.

For charts, please use the style IFK_table (centered, spacing after 12 pt) and for Chart captions IFK_table_caption (centered, spacing before 6pt, after 18pt).

Figure 1 shows the procedure with images. At first mention of the image in the text, the reference should be marked in bold. Images should be referenced in IFK_picture format (centered, spacing before 12pt, after 3pt) and Image Captions should be referenced in IFK_picture_caption format (centered, spacing after 6 pt). In table and figure captions, the enumerating element is to be marked in bold, while the description is to be set in normal font.

1.6.Lists

You may use two different types of predefined lists: bullet points (style: IFK_list_bulleted) and numbered lists (style: IFK_list_numbered).

In order to publish articles in the conference proceedings and in electronic form, it is mandatory that you grant us permission to use your article (Copyright). The Permission is to be granted when registering to our conference and adding the further details about your paper at Please keep in mind that copyright compliance is the responsibility of the author.

Your agreement to our copyright form, the registration for the conference and the further paper details should be submitted no later than September 15th, 2015.

1.8.Bibliographical References

Number bibliographical references consecutively in the order of appearance in the text between forward slashes /1/. Please provide the list of references at the end of your text, but before the list of symbols, see ch.2 (“References”).

1.9.Symbols

Please name any symbols you may have used at the end of your text, see ch.3 (“Nomenclature”), including the physical unit. The format template forthis is called IFK_nomenclature. Please enter symbols in italic font and use consistent font type in your text, formulas and the list of nomenclature.
